Should be, but at the mo there is some scariness going on at work and not sure if I will even be employed then!

It was a weekend conferance friday - Sunday and it was BRILLIANT!! I met Henry Winkler , and he hugged me! Got autograph books from Saci LLoyd ( carbon Diaries) and Anthoney Brown.
Brought loads of ideas back with me (Not to mention an entire medium suitcase of freebies) made links... it was good.

Be back in awhile to answer your last PM. If I am suddenly not on Litnet it's because I can't get online. My DSL modem seems to be acting up. On a wing and a prayer I just got it working again. I don't know what's up with that and I hate being barred from the internet. I am not feeling well today so I am taking it easy. Sorry it's been so long and I didn't get back to you. I had a lot of messages to answer and still do...but always so happy to have so many good friends.

Once again I didn't forget you. I just got so bogged down with messages and emails. I am working on them all today. I hope to get to yours soon and I believe I owe Fifth Element some as well. I feel badly when I can't keep up.

I can see we have a lot incommon from your last messages and can't wait to address them. By the way, I saw Stephen Machintosh in "The Land Girls" the other night. I downloaded it from YT. I wonder if it's still on there. Anyway, I own the film in VHS format only so I enjoyed seeing it in widescreen. He's so cute. I think it was you who suggested to me "Our Mutual Friend"....I own it and love it too!

Ah yes, Virgil wrote about Shakespeare in his blog. It was very nice; I only read one half so far - saw his message late last night. Shakespeare is the greatest author ever was I think. As Derek Jacobi said "How did he know so much, how did he understand so much and at such a young age"....not exact quote, but on the production "Discovering Hamlet". I will look on YT for his exact words. Your display sounds lovely. Yes, really they probably would be glad to be banned from the library...hahah

I liked the "Elizabeth" version with Kate Blanchett and Joseph Fiennes. They are both lovely to look at. Not sure how accurate historically that movie was but it was quite good and beautifully done. I have a documentary set on Elizabeth I which makes a lot of facts more clear as to the actual history. Her character has always fascinated me.

Weather here is quite nice, too. Sunny so far today. It's on the cool side at night but it makes for comfortable sleeping. Many flowers are blooming.

Helen Mirren has sort of grown on me. I did infact see her in "Elizabeth 1" and loved it. I have toyed with the idea of buying it but I hate to see cute Hugh Dancy's head off his shoulders...that part was rather shocking. I thought her performance was incredible. I can well understand your feeling about historical films verses present day. I too gravitate more to historical dramas or adaptations.

I am the same way about doing chores - tons need to be done around this house and that doesn't even include a good spring cleaning. I thought today I would put winter clothes and especially boots away; heralding in spring! I have become very messy in the last few years. I was always so organized. I am ashamed to say I haven't read a book in ages. I guess I needed a reading break and should start something short soon.

Every message here I can relate to. I had a pretty good size garden but I have let it go for several years now so it's pretty much over-run with weeds. I figure it's natural. I can't do the mulching and weeding and trimming, etc. anymore. That is backbreaking work. I planted many perenials and some still bloom well but some died out eventually. I have the photos now and look back on brighter days of the poor delapidated garden. One can't do it all. I am basically alone too, even though I live with my mother who is 88. Naturally, she does very little anymore and so the house and yard upkeep worry me. I know we need our house powerwashed and also our gutters cleaned out. My mother remains so lacidasical about all this and I have to push her to take some action, being basically poor myself. Otherwise I would call the contractors and have them come out. Delay is not good in the long run for our house, which someday will be my own house. I have to be able to maintain it; won't be easy.
