as for the theater, well I used to take drama lessons and did couple of plays but I quit this year, I wanted to focus on other things
here's the wikipedia article on macedonia, there are some pictures too

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_of_Macedonia

and I've never though of persuing acting, at least for a long time, though I do have many thing I want to do but right now I am more focusing on my writing and drawing, also I am starting my own radio show from 20 january and with college and learning languages I don't have much time

I saw you're an english teacher, that's cool, I hope you're a good one, here all the teachers seem to have lost the passion to teach, or the passion for the subject for that matter, they seem to come for the paycheck
so, do you teach grade, high school english or...?

also I wanted to ask you, you said you want to travel, where have you been so far?

like I said, a long one

    best of luck

ok, this will be a long one, so prepare

I live in Shtip, that's a well not the biggest city in Macedonia but it's one of the bigger. The culture here in macedonia? well.... you finish school and then go to college, most live with their parents like me, since I am in a local college, you have 2-3 universities and one of them is in Shtip, the other one is in the capital the biggest one and there's another one, I think. then you get a job and work till the rest of your life. as for the traditions, we have few wedding traditions, and the others are mostly kept by the elders, young people today don't do any of that, like going to monastery and they have feast there for some holidays and there's folklore music, we celebrate christmas on 7 january. if there's anything else you are interested in, just ask

part 2...Tell you the truth, I kind of forget what I do, once I change it. I have always loved your page/color scheme. It's funny, the other day, I thought I should have nominated your page. I feel it was worthy of winning. Here is one example of finding backgrounds. I once went to a marble tile site, copied many samples; will make cool backgrounds. I also get free samples from Dover Publishing; you can go on their site, sign-up for monthly freebie clip art samples, all copyright free. I've tons of files of clipart by now.

Haha.. Thanks! Wonder Woman seemed the logical choice; at least I aspire to be her, even if I'm not!

Haha...presently I might not be the best person to ask; but thanks for the compliments. I tried to change my page for Christmas, had a horrific time of it. You see I could not get a new background photo to appear. The mods all said to start from scratch, so finally I just settled for the plain green background. I usually find photos somewhere online; then you can crop them or alter in a offline program; then to get them here, you browse in one of your albums; upload the photo first; then use the [img]coding to place in the formating box in the first section. The lilacs I found were on the net and then I just cropped them and reduced to stamp-size; they will tile better. My graphic-minded friend said it's not a true tile; but it seemed to work pretty good. I think I took it into Adobe, blurred the edges a bit....see part 2

I enjoyed the video so much that I had to download it. I had to weep a bit (I'm rather sensitive to touching experiences, you see). It was like staring at a lifetime in a few minutes. Bunch of thanks

Dunno if you ever listened to this song, but since I like it a lot, here it goes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQP2KK5RBHY

Heretic, rebel, a thing to flout

by qimissung on 12-15-2012 at 02:13 AM
I live in the United States of America, and we had another school shooting today. With horror I listened to the news reports that a gunman had gone into an elementary school and killed 27 people, 20 of them “children between the ages of 5 and 10.” And I listened tiredly and wearily to the usual rhetoric of the newscast without end as they recounted the “worst school shooting in an elementary school.”
I guess they are doing the best they can, but you simply can’t put a qualifier or adjective

In Memoriam

by qimissung on 04-03-2012 at 11:05 PM
One of my former students-he graduated last year-was shot and killed last night around 10 o'clock.

He had just finished playing a game of basketball and was sitting in a car on a dark street, with his cousin. They were waiting for his cousin's ride when another car drove up. It was someone they knew and they argued over a girl his cousin had been seeing. The young man in the car pulled out a gun and shot them. Victor was shot two times in the back. He was treated at a nearby hospital,

The Anger and The Anguish

by qimissung on 01-04-2012 at 02:24 PM
I read several good books in 2011. I read "Candide," "The Crying of Lot 49", "Housekeeping," "A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius," and "The Dubliners." I read others, but these I read last fall and today it is of "The Dubliners" I speak.

I've been wanting to read something by Joyce. Eventually I hope to read "Ulysses." I think that might be akin to saying that someday I'd like to climb Mount Everest, for

The Bird's Nest

by qimissung on 12-27-2011 at 03:20 PM
looking at it I knew it was different
a bird's nest
full of hope and fear
and the cavalier fulsomeness of life
the blind ability to get up each day under the weight of it all
to go out every day believing you were one of the masses
dressed in the same uniform
believing the same things
that god is good
that love will find a way
believing or hoping to believe that
the others would not notice your vampiric differences

I acquire some books

by qimissung on 12-04-2011 at 08:13 PM
I got up yesterday morning, a Saturday, around 5:45. I washed my face and dressed and walked to my car in the dark. I stopped by my local Starbucks and treated myself to a tall mocha.

I then made my way down Midway to 635; from there to Central Expressway from which I exited at Northwest Highway. My destination was the Half-Price Books located there, or rather the warehouse that I knew was located near it.

Once I arrived I noticed, somewhat to my chagrin, that there
