Thanks for your kind words Matt. Hope your health is holding up.
I saw that blog on your dissatisfaction with the Lit Net Forums that was either taken down or you pulled it. I was in the process of responding with this below. You might as well have it. Controversial subjects that have nothing to do with literature have always been a problem on Lit Net. Political and religious discussions were never supposed to be allowed outside of a literary context. Yeah, they snuck in, especially the religion, and especially when the atheists were obsessed with proselytizing. The Religious Text forum was supposed to be about religious texts, not over if God exists. But the minute I saw that a "Serious Discussion" thread opened up for just those discussions that were supposed to be against the rules I knew that was going to be the end of Lit Net. I'm willing to bet that half the people on lit net don't even discuss literature. You don't see me on the forums any more.
Just for the weekend, it's "literary villians week" and for some reason I decided to take part in this one.

Nice chicken.
Gee, I thought you already asked me that, but apparently that was someone else... It's all the work, I've been doing (good for the purse, but not so good for the brain Life is a mixed bag of chocolates, isn't it . You maybe know what's in them through experience, but you also know you have to eat the ones you don't like to get to the next layer... So, to go back on topic, it's Belgian surrealist painter Paul Delvaux's "The Skeleton and the Shell". I put it on for Halloween, but I liked it too much to let it go... I like your avatar too, Peter Griffin. I sometimes watch Family Guy and American Dad late on BBC 3. When my hubby was away for a month last year, FG was my cue to go to bed...
Mutatis, I think the thumbnail "rule" is more of an encouragement not to fill threads with large pictures, if that helps you any. Just something I'm surmising from various things I've read.
Well, I wasn't necessarily looking for someone to blame, just pointing out where it started. In all honesty, I didn't help with my huge Ansel Adams photo on that thread. He/she ? took my message the wrong way. Anyhow, I reduced my images to thumbnails. Have a good evening. Gg
Hello MM, this was my point... Once upon a time there was a thread titled “Post your favorite artist” started by Ftil, that included numerous large images. On November 30 2011 a moderator(? - one of those higher ups) established the thumbnail rule that also included some exceptions. When I posted my unsure statement in the art thread, it’s because I couldn’t recall which threads were the exception. To learn more go to post 30 of Ftil’s thread.
MM, who the hell let you back in here? Joking, Joking. Welcome back!
