No, I wouldn't say so necessarily. If you simply post about literature you can spread it yourself. I sometimes do this. I do however understand.

Oh, I also gave your book titles and name to our best-selling bookstore, who like to be on top of 'whats new'... so here's hoping!

Peter, I have not, as yet, read your books. I have put in a suggestion to our Library, to obtain them. They have yet to let me know the status.
I do not order stuff online, books, clothes, etc., so I am at the mercy of the library. If they do not come through, then I can try our local bookstore to place an order. I would very much like to read these two books for sure.

Poor Journalism

by PeterL on 10-14-2020 at 06:55 PM
There are many reasons for the business problems that newspapers have these days, but one major problems that also affects online and broadcast journalism is poor writing. Expository writing is fairly simple for people who can grasp simple logic.

An expository article or essay has three basic parts: introduction, which tells the subject being discussed, the body or details, and the conclusion, which sums up the details. I have read that the military discusses these three parts as:

The End is Near

by PeterL on 09-30-2020 at 02:23 PM
I had expected Trumpís re-election campaign to die from major illness on his part. I thought it would be physical illness, but it seems that moral and psychological illness is the reason. It was in this the last week of September, and there were two major components to Trump's demise: the report of his federal income tax return hurt him, but Trump scoffed it as fake news, even though we had already known the information in general, but the details filled in a lot of the details, even though the

Using poor Logic

by PeterL on 09-19-2020 at 05:41 PM
I have decried logical fallacies more times than I should have, but I still see people trying to win arguments with fallacies. I didn't learn logic in elementary school, only grammar, which is the logical structure of language, but I got the basics in high school, and I got even more in college, but I made the mistake of not taking a course in logic; I took Ethics instead, and it was amusing.

This isn't my favorite topic, but it can be useful, and today I shot down comments by an

Mortality

by PeterL on 09-09-2020 at 01:04 PM
Recently, someone wondered how people feel about mortality. I have written about that in the past, so I mostly just referred to those, but there a few parts of the question that I think deserve a little more consideration. One thing is that it is sometimes said that people start dying immediately after birth. I disagree with that, and I think that many medical experts would also disagree. Humans continue to develop after birth, and cells are replaced as long as people are healthy.

Buying Votes

by PeterL on 08-31-2020 at 07:13 PM
While it is illegal in the U.S.A. to pay some directly for their vote, it is lawful and traditional to pay them indirectly. I was reminded about this when I saw a headline about the so-called stimulus bill. Both the Dems and the Reps are trying to pass legislation that will provide money to people affected by the pandemic; i.e., everyone. They have been working on that for a few months, but they haven't managed to do it, yet. There are problems, because both parties want to make it look like they
