Heavens no! I was just pointing out that back then, humans believed in sacrificing, but now, sacrificing is looked upon as gruesome. We, as humans, change our beliefs through the years.

    Yes, I'm very telepathic.
I understand what you were trying to say. I just like teasing you a little.
What we humans believe change so many times through the years. We used to think sacrificing offerings(human or beast) to Gods was a way of living. But now, most people think it's morally wrong. And on lighter terms, we could use your example. I'm taking Mexican-American History, and just learned some gruesome things, so that's where my example came from.

So why would you say "But there are a few things that are not actually possible"?

and then turn around and say, "And sometimes those things that were alleged to be impossible happen."

Sounds a little contradicting, doesn't it? But I can vouch for that. Most of the time, my thinking is worse. It's always on shifting grounds.

Of course, if you're going beyond the possible.....

    And yes, never give up!

lookng into a position in another country sounds like a cool option.
Well, I believe there's always a way for what you want.

Are none of the colleges or universities interested in taking you as an employee, or the jobs aren't interesting enough for you to be one? If it's the former, why just look at on campus?

    Latter, that's your fault.

Yes, I am a student once more. I'm taking English, Statistics, Mexican American History, a dance class, and Tai chi.

    And why can't you?

How to Complain

by PeterL on 05-18-2022 at 01:06 PM
Recently, I have experienced people complaining in ineffective ways. They had real, legitimate complaints to make, but they presented the complaints in ways that would insure that they would be ignored. In my youth I learned to expressing unhappiness and persuading people to change something to make it more acceptable to me are two different things.

Expressing unhappiness by screaming at someone may give some personal satisfaction, but it is unlikely to get the target of the rant

Is There Hope?

by PeterL on 05-11-2022 at 12:36 PM
I was thinking about a new topic for a blog without much success. I have a few half written posts that didn't come together, but a few minutes I came across a post on a forum in which someone was asking about optimistic nihilist characters. I looked into the concept as it is handled online, and I realized that I am not one, and the philosophy is opposed to what I think. Apparently, there are people who believe that they live in a meaningless universe with no raison d'etre. I feel sorry for them.

Where's the Hype

by PeterL on 05-08-2022 at 01:52 PM
A skill that is nice to have is the ability to tell the difference between hype and facts. People often say “Follow the money.” and that is one of the best methods for determining which is what.

If you remember the bottled water campaign and followed the money before buying bottled water, then you would have learned that the campaign was from the marketing department of Nestles, and it had started shortly after Nestles had bought three bottled water companies in the U.S., so the

Inflation Policy

by PeterL on 04-27-2022 at 10:38 AM
I saw a letter to the Editor in the Daily Hampshire Gazette that asserted that present inflation was a result of Biden’s policies. That is a false accusation. There has been inflation at substantial levels for several decades, and it has been a deliberate policy of the U.S. government. The inflation policy was established to ensure that the government could make money by selling long term bonds.

Bonds are sold by the Treasury Department with a fixed interest payment, and the actual

Women Are Superior

by PeterL on 04-20-2022 at 09:21 AM
I saw something on Facebook that suggested that women were inferior to men. That is clearly absurd, but there probably are some people who think that, so I started this blog post, and I tried to think of ways that men are superior to women; the only thing I could think of was the manner of urination.

I looked for evidence and opinions on the matter, and there are many, and some provide evidence, while others state somethings in evidence that are not evidence of the superiority of
