Heavens no! I was just pointing out that back then, humans believed in sacrificing, but now, sacrificing is looked upon as gruesome. We, as humans, change our beliefs through the years.

    Yes, I'm very telepathic.
I understand what you were trying to say. I just like teasing you a little.
What we humans believe change so many times through the years. We used to think sacrificing offerings(human or beast) to Gods was a way of living. But now, most people think it's morally wrong. And on lighter terms, we could use your example. I'm taking Mexican-American History, and just learned some gruesome things, so that's where my example came from.

So why would you say "But there are a few things that are not actually possible"?

and then turn around and say, "And sometimes those things that were alleged to be impossible happen."

Sounds a little contradicting, doesn't it? But I can vouch for that. Most of the time, my thinking is worse. It's always on shifting grounds.

Of course, if you're going beyond the possible.....

    And yes, never give up!

lookng into a position in another country sounds like a cool option.
Well, I believe there's always a way for what you want.

Are none of the colleges or universities interested in taking you as an employee, or the jobs aren't interesting enough for you to be one? If it's the former, why just look at on campus?

    Latter, that's your fault.

Yes, I am a student once more. I'm taking English, Statistics, Mexican American History, a dance class, and Tai chi.

    And why can't you?

Trump's Depression

by PeterL on 06-09-2019 at 01:52 PM
I was thinking about how the U.S. economy would go from the upswing that Trump takes credit for to the Even Greater Depression that his trade war will bring on.

Trump should be separated from the claims of strong economy, and he could be thrown out of office and not have a chance of re-election, and he may have undone himself with the additional tariffs. I wasn't expecting the stock market to tank for a considerable time, as it happened during the 1920's. I'm not the only one who

Minding Business

by PeterL on 05-25-2019 at 02:06 PM
I sometimes find myself wondering why someone isnít minding his or her own business. And I usually to do that, but The Valley Advocate got me to do otherwise. This preference hasnít shown up in my blog often, but blogs are for people to vent their opinions. The Feature Article in the paper was about physician assisted suicide, which is an excellent example of people taking responsibility for themselves. Then when I opened the paper the first heading I saw was an opinion piece about ďhealthy food

Edited History

by PeterL on 05-03-2019 at 04:00 PM
For some reason, earlier today I recalled a couple of events that have already been edited out of the history of the 21st century. Unfortunately, I do not have archival information about either event, so many people wonít believe that they happened. In the end, I found that these items havenít been deleted, just ignored and pushed out of the generally available record.

Neither item was widely reported when it happened, but there were reports online. The first one was when in the Summer

The Coming U.S. Debt Crisis

by PeterL on 04-15-2019 at 06:07 PM
Debtors love inflation. The more they owe, the more inflation they want. That is because inflated dollars cost less, so the debtors can repay the same nominal amount for a lower value. That works whether you are a real estate developer or the U.S.A. The U.S. Treasury and the Federal Reserve Bank have been encouraging high inflation for a long time, so that the Treasury can pay off bonds with cheaper dollars. If inflation is running at average rate of 2.68% per annum, thirty year bonds can be paid

Restoring Civility

by PeterL on 04-06-2019 at 07:19 PM
During most of my life so far I lived in rather safe areas, places where the general populace was well-behaved, and there was a local police force that was adequate. Unfortunately, the place where I presently live is becoming progressively less safe. Eight years ago, I moved back to Amherst; unfortunately, Amherst has gone from being a pleasant and friendly place to a place where people are in fear of violent crime, and with good reason, a significant part of the townís population has become unreliable,
