Oh, I also gave your book titles and name to our best-selling bookstore, who like to be on top of 'whats new'... so here's hoping!

Peter, I have not, as yet, read your books. I have put in a suggestion to our Library, to obtain them. They have yet to let me know the status.
I do not order stuff online, books, clothes, etc., so I am at the mercy of the library. If they do not come through, then I can try our local bookstore to place an order. I would very much like to read these two books for sure.
Don't know what is new in Sask-a-bush (lol, slang for Saskatchewan). But here in Manitoba we are in the midst of a beautiful autumn...

Poetic Mead

Poetic Mead

I was surviving and recovering from an automobile accident, when I received an email from an acquaintance who asked something about the saga. I have never written any sagas, so in my reply I suggested that I might put it in verse. I have never written any sagas, so I looked up the form, and I found this

Electric Vehicles, past and future

by PeterL on 11-01-2023 at 04:13 PM
In the early part of the twentieth Century, there was competition among the manufacturers of motor vehicles as to which type would prevail. Gasoline, steam, and electric were all available, and each had its advantages and disadvantages. Because of the weight, time to recharge, and lack of recharging facilities. Electric vehicle became less popular, except for railroads, where the tracks allowed for easy access to power. The internal combustion engine became the general rule, because the makers of

Regarding Federal Reserve System

by PeterL on 10-15-2023 at 05:45 PM
I recently learned that there still are people who believe the conspiracy theory that the Federal Reserve System is privately owned. One need only read Title 12, Chapter 3 of the U.S. Code to read about its ownership and what it is supposed to be doing. Some background is necessary for the creation of the Fed to make sense.

The Panic of 1907 was probably the most severe financial panic in U.S. history. There were multiple problems that came together to make the panic, but it became

Improving Government

by PeterL on 10-03-2023 at 04:55 PM
There are several types of government, and each types has its backers, but I think that only two kinds of government have been called the best, but I believe that benevolent despotism has most consistently been recognized as the best form of government. Whether a particular individual would agree that the despot was benevolent might

Who profits from climate change alarmism

by PeterL on 09-16-2023 at 03:52 PM
Consider businesses that have grown from the climate change alarmism. They range from making electric cars to making or selling solar panels to windmill arrays, and there are other companies that are looking toward sea level rise, the melting of Greenland’s ice, and other changes happening as results of climate change. There will be more, and there are some who are pushing for restrictions on economic activity because of assertions that those activities caused climate change. Like most social changes,
