    Speaking of bikes,
I saw this amazing, old 50's bike the other day. Cherry red. Looked so, so cool.
But i'm more of a walker.

I'm very good thank you - well, sort of. Feel slightly out of balance but i'm fixing that with sleep etc,

Funny story in my blog. Think you might get a kick out of it.

Yeah really, for a month, that's pretty sweet. Ooh ooh! Bring the melt down TB! That will be fun! Yeah, I hope for your sake they keep Ted! It's so hard when you get attached. I was happy when I found out that Shadow swaps his leads on the flat because it means he would likely not be sold, as was the plan haha.

Yeah, you're so right about costs. As if trailering and coaching and all that essential stuff isn't expensive enough, I don't think any of my show clothes fit anymore. Luckily all my tack and horse equipment for Tobasco will fit Shadow, but I couldn't fit into my old show breeches in a million years. Ack.

Glad to hear it! And to be honest with you and fair to her, the girl who got on Casper is actually a very good rider and very good with difficult horses, I've just seen her get rough sometimes and I'm not a fan of that at all. But I'm glad you give me a little bit of credit haha

Yeah, I saw all the bottlenecking. We have one horse that gets really nervous when he's crowded by other horses and there was one spot where I could just see his whole body tense up. His rider just couldn't see around her because of all the dust. That's awesome about Ted though! Congrats, it looks like you've done really good work with him!

Haha yeah, as soon as I'm back in shape and figure out how much money I'll make this summer, I'll be out, though it may only be at our home shows because they're cheaper. But yeah, I'm feeling a definite itch to get back in the ring and Tobasco's not available so the pony it will hopefully be! Anyways, I'm sorry for the nasty impression you got of my barn. I hope you don't think that that's the norm because it certainly is not. I hope to see you around some more this summer!

Oh goodness I take no offense whatsoever. I agree with you completely, smacking him after doesn't get him there. She's a very passive rider like that though, and Tobasco will take advantage of that by pretending to be scared of the flowers. And yes, I do say pretend because he's been there a million times and likes to see what he can get away with. Oh well. Not gonna lie, I didn't even notice your leg haha we had a pile of riders in that ring and the dust was awful. He looks like he's really quiet though! He didn't seem fazed by the new ring or the other horses. Makes me miss the show ring sssoooo bad. I know a lot of crap goes on, but I LOVE it. Can't wait to get my pony out!

Aw but you guys were good in the eq flat!! I'm sorry I didn't get to see him go over fences! UGH Tobasco didn't even get through a full course today. I'm not going to lie, it was pretty frustrating. I could see he was backing off like, three strides out from the fence and the rider did nothing about it until he stopped, then she got mad. Seriously, NAIL HIS @$$ if you can feel he wants to stop! I haven't seen him like that in years

Haha, he'll be in the eq and the open I think, no juniors. But if I were you, I wouldn't be too concerned about competing against him. I don't know if I'm going to be able to make it up anymore though . Haha yeah, the barn and the area where all the trailers park is on one level of ground and then you have to go up the giant hill to get to the ring. And just to be a piss-off, the hose to get water is halfway up the hill. It's not too bad lol. If I don't see you/ talk to you before then, Good Luck!! I'm sure you'll do awesome!

I used to play music, but alas, no longer =(. Horses, baking, without needing said writing and reading, photography, sewing, Poptarts, heated discussions about nothing in particular, analyzing sleeptalk, sleeping, sleeping in, whining, being late...

Naked except for a cigarette, you let your mind drift and forget your disbelief. Feel the chill down your back and the flutter of wings through dandelion fields, and forget the pull of gravity in a night without stars.

I lack eloquence and commitment to my arguments. They are half baked, and I will begin passionately, and then abandon them.

Goin' to the chapel and we're gonna get married

by 1n50mn14 on 06-20-2014 at 02:31 PM
Hello LitNet, it's been some time since I've posted here, but sometimes a girl's just gotta blog on a Friday morning.

Life has changed a lot since last time I was here. For one, I'm engaged. Sit back and let me tell you a tale.

My now fiance and I were out for oyster dinner and a bottle of wine, which we don't get to do very often as we're both too busy busting our butts working two jobs in the hopes of eventually owning our own business. I have a vision of an 50's

Golden Brown

by 1n50mn14 on 09-01-2011 at 07:57 PM
My playlist (inadvertently) has had a common theme for the past half hour. I've listened to:

Golden Brown: The Stranglers. (Yes, as heard in Snatch.)

Mr.Brownstone: Guns n'Roses

Comfortably Numb: Pink Floyd

Perfect Day- Lou Reed

Ok, so what's the common theme? This is a musical research project. Think of it as discovering the themes in Austen novels, but instead, you're discovering the common theme between

I am a faithful daily reader of Modblog on Always have been (more so when Shannon was still writing) always will be. Modblog's subject matter is body modification- tattoos, piercings, scarification, branding, stretching, suspensions, and more than (no offense) most of can (or want to) imagine.

Steve Haworth, a prominent artist who primarily deals with 3D implants, ear pointing, branding, and scarification just did a guest spot at a friend's shop in Guelph. There are two

Six weeks

by 1n50mn14 on 07-15-2011 at 07:10 PM
In six weeks, I'll be waking up in my two bedroom house in downtown Toronto, mere steps from Kensington Market and China Town and Trinity Bellwoods park, a few blocks from the myriad of awesomeness that is Queen St. West and a twenty minute bike ride from the St.Lawrence Market. Can't. Wait.

My cousin and I are living out childhood dreams and renting a house together in Toronto- it is a converted coach house (where they used to park the horse carriages in the early 20th century)

Oh hey, Dolly Parton.

by 1n50mn14 on 06-27-2011 at 01:21 PM
As I'm sitting here in my living room listening to Dolly Parton's cover of 'Stairway to Heaven' it appears some changes have happened in my life recently. But since when is Dolly Parton an epiphany? I'll be back soon, Lit-Net, to catch up on the blogs.

Stairway to heaven- surprisingly good.
