Am glad I made you laugh. Really (I laugh a lot with your comments too. Pity we don't live on the same side of the Atlantic; that way we would laugh a ton more )

Wow, you've been using your ears since you have them. That looks like a list for the music supermarket. Wait a sec, I'm going to pick a trolley!

What other kinds of heavy metal am I into? Mostly I'm a traditional headbanger. I like what was done by folks of the late nineteen-eighties. I'm seeing Metallica on your list; they're on mine too, as well as Testament, Megadeth, a bit of W.A.S.P., another bit of Poison, some Skid Row and Ratt too, and I like instrumentations like those of Steve Vai and Ingwie Malmsteen. Actually my favorite electric guitarists come from metal backgrounds, like Zakk Wylde (he plays with Ozzy more than often) and Chris DeGarmo (formerly Queensryche and now a charter pilot or so I've heard - quite a job change, uh?) and another fave would be Marty Friedman (ex Megadeth). And I shouldn't forget some classic songs by Europe and Scorpions like Carrie and I'm still loving you, respectively (oh yes, I'm a very romantic chap indeed )

Any of these names ring a bell? I don't know most of the people on your list but thank you for taking the time. I will consider it, really... hey, wait... I found a trolley here, now I can go pick them at the shop

If you say you've seen a ghost then you must have seen it, or at least that's how you felt it. The point is that you saw something, whether or not it was imaginary is another matter. Have you seen it again, or only once? Was it long ago? Anyhow I believe you. You seem sincere, so I'll take your word for it.

So you believe that people are good by nature; as a scientist would say "Interesting concept" . That mankind-machine-alien theory of yours makes much sense though. It could happen that way I'm afraid But I would prefer if all three species could learn to coexist, learn from each other and give each other a chance in life. Now... on second thought... a good sci-fi previous blood shed could be quite exciting

How is it possible that this cute intelligent lady hasn't yet met a significant other? What's the problem with Manchester chaps? Can't they see what they're missing? ... Well, you're still very young, don't worry, the appropriate individual shall knock on your door anytime, but don't choose without careful analysis, so you don't have to regret after.

I walk a lot too, and sprint every so often. Wow, wait, we have a kicker here! How often do you make people respect you by leg-law enforcement?

Your outburst makes sense! To be pregant or not to be, that is the question!

By the way, you didn't tell me what the W stands for... because you don't want or you just skipped it? ... Oh, Please! Please! Do tell me, please! (Curiosity is killing me )

Glad you have a good family. It's something important to have a good one!

See? I told you about that party. I bet you fell in another bin!

My music... let's see... there are some of your countrymen and countrywomen on my list, like Sarah Brightman, Dido, Ozzy Osbourne and the Iron Maiden folks. Actually, my first music raids began with Heavy Metal of the glamorous type of the eighties and nineties, like Guns n' Roses and Motley Crew, but later on I stumbled upon illumination , became a serious chap and moved on to more classical and symphonic genres
I like like classical too, but I prefer some more modern orchestrations, like some film soundtracks when they are symphony-styled, like those by Hans Zimmer and James Horner.
When I met the fiddles and bagpipes, so began my story with Irish and Scottish traditional music.
Now if we talk about modernism, I still keep some interest on heavy sounds, but mostly when they belong to the progressive genre, like Queensryche, Savatage, and if you ask me about voices then I fall for ladies' voices more than I do for chaps' voices. I'm not really sure why, but ladies' voices stab me in a very particular way, being my faves Amy Lee (Evanescence), Sarah Brightman, Enya, Loreena McKennitt, Emma Shapplin and I'm sure I still have to meet some other voices I haven't come across with so far.
Hmmm... what else? ... oh, yes, I too like some American country, Jazz, especially Louis Armstrong, and I like The Eagles, and due to my long time relation with Chinese martial arts films I like eastern composers such as Shigeru Umebayashi, Tan Dun and Yo-Yo Ma (actually, in case you don't know and want to know, Yo-Yo Ma is a very reputed cellist and he once recorded the six cello suites by Johann Sebastian Bach, for which work he gained a big reputation, of course in classical circles).
As you can see I have an abundance of feelings regarding music. If I am mad? sure I am, like all the rest, only that I admit it while most of the others don't

Do I enjoy my job? ... well... I'd rather be flying an old Spitfire while smelling the fresh air of England's countryside, but that's much of a dream more than a job prospect. My job isn't really bad nor totally boring, but flying over England must be much more fun, I figure. I'd also like to be a linguist some day, learn more poetry, more languages and travel everywhere to use them all, and meet different people because I'm only accustomed to my people and I'm not complaining but sometimes you get tired of not having with whom to talk, if you know what I mean.

I've never met a ghost, elf, faerie, dwarf nor anything similar, but if I ever do you'll be the first to know . I've heard tons of stories regarding enchanted houses, evil and good spirits and the like, but I can't tell for sure because... I've never seen dead people in all my life
How about you? Ever seen a spectre, wraith, ghost or... even a GHOST BUSTER?

I hope you liked my answers. Writing gives me peace and entertainment, but sorry if I made up too long a message; at times I can't help striking the keyboard . Feel free to ask if you want to know more (and if you don't fear long answers ). Asking is the only way to know someone, don't you think? Now talking about asking, can I ask you some further questions like...

    - According to your best objective judgement, who would deserve to win the war against the machines? Machines or mankind?
    - Same as above but against the Aliens?
    - This question about how you met your significant other, that you did not reply... did you not reply because you didn't want or because you haven't met such an other?
    - What does the W stand for in your name? and ...
    - Do you like walking, running, jogging, kicking people?
    - About your final word of wisdom for Lit Net users "You're either pregnant, or you're not". Did you spit it at random or are you suggesting something special? Like... Hey you, bunch of sorry twerps, wake up for once! Life has no half terms at all!

Oh, she'd better find me, because if she doesn't I'm gonna go find her myself

You get along well with all, I mean mom, dad, bro? Ever had to kick one of them?
Fat cat, uh? You want a pet or an ornament?
More like walking away, I run away from sneezes, as fast as my legs allow me

I'm glad for you, about the exams
So you are having like a goodbye party, right? Have fun there, but don't drink too much, or you'll fall in another bin or down other stairs, or even a combo of the two

You can ask whatever you want, and I mean whatever. I have nothing to hide.

That's a good habit, to write down what we want so we don't forget after a while. It helps keep the memory focused on dreams.

I too wish I could move to cooler places in summer. I like sunny days but I could use a little more of fresh rain too, which doesn't happen here on a regular basis

Yep, I'll have to wait for fame and fortune and interviews to knock on my door
    Fame is so elusive.

Okay, I will now fire some questions to know you a little better:

Just mom and dad at home? No siblings?
You say you have no pets, but if you had to choose, what would it be?

List some of the things that annoy you immensely:
Lateness, Ignorance, When people sneeze and don't cover their mouths/noses, Bone cracking, Bad manners.

What a royally Brit lady you are!! Oh, let's remember bad smells, in which case you'll be the one to cover your mouth/nose

How about exams? Are you passing all of them?

Already made up your mind on where you'd like to live?

I'll be 35 next September 27. I was born on a Friday at 2:10 in 1974 according to my mom, because if you ask me well... I was too tiny to have memory so I can't quite remember leaving her belly.
Hey, I could be your father! (No, just kidding, you already have one and one is more than enough, right? )

Later on I'll ask you a few things about yours (interview) if you don't mind, okay?

Yep, it's very sunny here indeed. I like sunny days too, but I kinda envy you 'cos you have more rain than I can dream of ever seeing here

We both long for what the other one has! You want my warmth and I want your rain We are both crazy

Brrrrr , that sounds so really chilly over there that I'm cold already. I'd better tuck myself in bed to wait for the literary genius Maybe when I wake he'll be already here next morning

Oh, by the way, I noticed some belated happy birthday wishes still coming on your birthday thread. Dunno if you saw them, but wanted to let you know just in case Now... about that thread and your interview... do you know how one gets to be interviewed? I wanna be famous, too, and I want people to learn what an amazing chap I am

Thank you It's a nice city, still somewhat peaceful though unfortunately crime has been rising lately. I figure it's a common problem everywhere. Wherever there are people we find the bad and the good.

Now, summers are quite a subject here, reaching temps above 40 C, at times near 45. Last one was the longest I can recall, and I believe it's getting hotter every year because of this global warming issue. The worst days are those when there's this western wind blowing that we call Zonda. It comes from the Pacific and after crossing The Andes it looses its humidity at high altitudes to come down like the breath of a dragon. If it catches you in the open air, it feels as though you were breathing fire instead of oxygen, and that's why doctors always advice to stay indoors as much as possible until it goes away. It's very bad for people with heart conditions; it can cause a heart attack because you can't breathe normal fresh oxygen when this thing is blowing.
What's good is that when the dragon flees, the southern wind comes almost immediately and it's like paradise, so fresh and pure and totally opposite. This is the worst of our weather; other than that it's very peaceful. I would love if it rained more frequently though, but rains here are quite uncommon (completely different from England).

How about your place? What are summers like? What's the worst weather condition you can't bear?

See? That's what I meant. We, writers (or wannabe ones), are royally insane! How will we reach the masterpiece of our life?

So, I've had a long time to think about it...
and it's been decided that my story, Amor a Primera Vista, is to be completely reworked.

...with the ending FINALLY added.

Shan't be too long.

"Amor a Primera Vista" (6/7)

by LadyW on 11-17-2008 at 08:30 PM
Change of plan folks. There will now be 7 parts to the story. This was so difficult to write; I hope it doesn't disappoint you.

The light streamed through the gap of the curtains, and greeted me as I awakened. I proceeded into the bathroom, where I inspected the newly formed freckles on my tanned nose, before cleaning my teeth and washing. I selected my clothing, and coated my skin in lotion that smelled just like coconut. Carefully placing the blue flower slide into my hair (which

"Amor a Primera Vista" (5)

by LadyW on 11-16-2008 at 08:10 PM
It's the penultimate instalment everyone.

The night had ended for most people; only a small group of Spanish men in their sixties lingered behind, drinking liquors and smoking cigars. There were a small number of waiters and waitresses dotted about the terrace collecting glasses and wiping down the tables.

I walked through the clear glass doors and saw him sat on the stage by the balcony, looking out onto the bay with his phone in hand. I walked slowly across

"Amor a Primera Vista" (4)

by LadyW on 11-15-2008 at 10:41 PM
So, this is part 4 out of a possible 6 parts. Apologies, as it's most likely riddled with mistakes - but it is(was) 2.35am.

He would leave the next day. I can't say I was fazed much by this prospect; if anything, it was quite a relief... like a heavy weight lifted from my conscience. Despite remaining so decided that the next 24 hours would pass with no emotional complications, the eve prior to his departure was still strange to me - I just couldn't identify this change in atmosphere.

"Amor a Primera Vista" (3)

by LadyW on 11-14-2008 at 03:23 PM
So I mentioned I had approximately 2/3 of it written down on paper. I have now finished transferring it onto the computer. I will be working on the last part this weekend, but I imagine it will be quite difficult. Enjoy.

“One kiss...please?” he uttered with that low, husky voice and hypnotic stare. I observed his mouth as he spoke; it was so small, but so gentle.
“I can’t...” I whispered, my breath was heavy - as was my heart.
“Just 2 seconds. Close your eyes.”
