Thanks for asking. I had started and read the first five chapters but then got distracted with something else, and I just finished that something else, and I am ready to restart Persuasion. Perhaps tonight. I've been away for a few days and may need to catch up on stuff. Thanks for asking. I'll let you know when I finish it.

I loved your comment on God in the Evolution thread.
  3. Stellar posts in the Dostoevsky thread. Keep up the good work.

I've never heard of that Ibsen play, and that's his favorite? Should be interesting. I'm a Roman history buff. Youll have to tell me what it's about. Maybe I'll pick it up.

Oh I haven't started Persuasion yet. I will though. Still getting through Kipling's Kim. I got side tracked with a ouple of non-fiction books and Shakespeare's Richard II.

Hi Gladys, how have you been?

If you do read Kim eventually, drop by the thread and post some comments. I'm way behind. I only a third of the way through the book and the month is over. I will not join the next few months book club reads to catch up with Kim and then I wish to read Austen's Persuasion. You must really be disecting Ghosts.

Hi Gladys. Just stopping by. Hey I notice you post in your own profile. The way these profile pages work is that I post in yours (and you recieve a notification that someone has posted) and you reply in mine (and I get a notification). It's easy to go to mine; just click my avatar and you will be transported. Also if you wish to see the back and forth conversation with someone, just click the "View COnversation" link and you will sse both sdes. Hope that helps.
  8. So what's next? Whatever you wish. I think I have a good handle on the plays you mention. Brand, in its own way, is more shocking than Ghosts...and probably less understood.

I like your new avatar of Regine. It is better than a photo of Ibsen with his wild whiskers. hahaha... I had to laugh the day I saw it pop up. So what next, when we do another Ibsen play? I can see you finding a photo of the young woman in "The Master Builder"..."or "Hedda Gabler" when we get to that one. Now I am anxious to read the play "Brand"; I read something about it and it enticed me as did you comments. I will also view the play on my DVD set; should be real good.
