I've already started. It's pretty interesting. I've got Statistics, English, Mexican-American History, Zumba(type of dance class), and Tai Chi(Which I think is kind of like kickboxing). All my classes except Tai Chi, I've already had. Tai Chi, I start today. So far, the classes are easy.

I wish you a very Happy Birthday.

That is good. Just give your best shot and I know you'll be able to do it. And about the professors so, perhaps you were not serious about your studies or due to hesitation that what will others will think about you is the reason. But just come out of this fear and start clearing your doubts. Trust me, that will not help you only in studies but also improve your personality as an individual. And always remember, no body is perfect...

That is not good buddy. Never quit in your life, no matter how much difficult the task or situation is. And you are so young, you have a long way to go. Never think of the results. Just give your best shot in everything and leave rest of the things on god and believe me success will be yours. And if in case you'll fail somewhere in your efforts then also you wouldn't have any regret that you haven't tried that thing. I believe doing something is better than doing nothing because of the fear of getting fail because you never know what the fate has in store for you. Its a time for you to prove yourself to your parents and to everyone in this world. So, all the best. :-)

Yes, classes in the eve because its a part-time course that I am doing just to add an additional qualification in my resume. And I can understand your feelings v.well because during my graduation I also had morning classes and I also had to walk a lot in rain, summers and chilly winters. But, believe me once your college will be over and you will enter into a new world of professionalism then you will miss all this and wish all these days to come back but unfortunately, they wouldn't. So enjoy each and every moment of your college life now. :-)

Ghost from the past?

by farnoosh on 03-02-2022 at 08:51 AM
It's been a long time since I've posted anything on here. So much has happened that i think if i were to tell it all, i would never be able to stop typing.

I come back here sometimes; mostly when I read a good book (which is rare these days) and want to discuss it. I come looking for a place that I remember. But that feeling of nostalgia stops me from posting anything; i instantly realize that the familiar place is no longer The Place for me... So I leave without a word, feeling...

Out of Boredom...

by farnoosh on 05-16-2015 at 01:34 PM
These days my life is like an event-less set of hours stitched together by misery itself. Here's what I do everyday:

Wake up - usually at 9 am . Pretty unusual for me as an early riser back in college days.
Check mail and my online applications for updates.
Eat breakfast - or skip it and wait for lunch.
Surf the net till afternoon.
Around 1:30 pm I set the table for lunch & wash the dishes after it's finished. >> most useful thing I do all day

It Is Foolish To Wish For Beauty ...

by farnoosh on 03-15-2015 at 02:22 PM
I found this quote in my files tonight, thought I'd share it
It is foolish to wish for beauty. Sensible people never either desire it for themselves or care about it in others. If the mind be but well cultivated, and the heart well disposed, no one ever cares for the exterior. So said the teachers of our childhood; and so say we to the children of the present day. All very judicious and proper, no doubt; but are such assertions supported by actual experience?
We are naturally disposed

My grandma has been in the hospital for about a week now, it's nothing terrible but she need antibiotics injected in her veins and she needs to be constantly monitored for that. Since I'm technically without a job to do at the moment (unless you call waiting for an admission email a job), I go to the hospital in the mornings and take care of her and check up to see if she needs anything: CT scans and etc. Anyway, mostly there isn't much to do around there so I take my kindle with me and read my

Love's Trinity by Alfred Austin

by farnoosh on 02-04-2015 at 11:23 AM

Soul, heart, and body, we thus singly name,
Are not in love divisible and distinct,
But each with each inseparably link'd.
One is not honour, and the other shame,
But burn as closely fused as fuel, heat, and flame.

They do not love who give the body and keep
The heart ungiven; nor they who yield the soul,
And guard the body. Love doth give the whole;
Its range being high as heaven, as ocean deep,
Wide as the realms
