It's a kind of inelegant, sledgehammer precision.

Really thought your Etan Patz poem was disturbing and powerful.

Just dropped in to say take care.
  6. Thanks. I'm retired and am hungry for conversation: preerably intelligent, impassioned conversation. I'll restrict myself from now on to responding to your public posts.

It wasn't any kind of defense of me. If anything, it's helpful for people to know when they are engaging me in conversation. You asked about me. That's the answer I have. It isn't a self-designation. It's not at all like African Americans defending themselves against racism, or trying to take power away from a word that was used to brand them. I'm so baffled as to why you would say that. It was nice to meet you. I'm not interested in private message conversations. If you are ever unprepared to have questions answered, perhaps it would be wise not to pose them in the first place.
  8. Hm.. how does one arrive at such a self-designation: "narcissistic introvert"? It suggests to me that you might be trying to defend yourself against some insult by appropriating it. Sort of like Afro-Americans referring to each other by the "n"-word.

Thank you. It's very nice to hear that. A person who values words likes to know that their words have had an impact. I'm just a moment in time. I'm very small, but part of something big and mysterious. We're all pretty lucky that way. It's nice to linger for a while in memories here and there.

    Hi there.

I put a lot of stuff about me into my posts, so my statistics might be a good place to learn about me. I'm an artist, a sculptor, and a narcissistic introvert. Beyond that, I'm just a girl.

And they're off...

I love electoral campaigns, especially when there is someone I can root for and against. The campaigns in the USA are of special interest to me because there is so much at stake there. I get involved not exclusively on the ground of the issues but equally or even more so, in terms of the intuitions and visceral reactions I have about the respective candidates.

I invite you to do one or both of the following: a) Make your predictions as to who will win the nomination in either party,
