How are you, Aunt Shecky?
Hi... thanks for voting in the 2015 Annual Short Story Competition finals. I submitted one of my stories "Happy Endings" into the contest. Critiques here on litnet have always been greatly helpful and helped me improve a lot. As you have already read the story, I was wondering if you could share your thoughts on the story on this thread-> http://www.online-literature.com/for...11#post1317611 Sorry to bother you. Thanks for reading the message.
Hey there. We haven't spoken in a while. Hope things are well.
Hey Aunt Shecky, how are you?
Would you like to vote in our short story competition final? http://www.online-literature.com/for...390-2015-Final
Nice one! of course the ultra conservatives have reclaimed "liberal" by sticking "neo" in front of it. Thus, "neoliberal" now means what every good republican believes is Truth, Justice and the American way: a free-market unaccountable corporate democracy for the super-wealthy, allowing them to become extra-super-wealthy at the expense of everyone else! Since my student status expired at the end of September, I no longer have full access to the NYRB, but I have a sneaking suspicion that I may have read this piece when we did Waiting for Godot. Unfortunately, I don't seem to have downloaded it, so this time round I only got to read the first bit which you linked to. HI ho. I'm going to have to see if my alumni status will allow me to continue plundering the university resources. Live and be swell - H
Thank'ee, Auntie. Glad to hear you're on the case good ol' Pen got with the programme fairly promptly, but I'll try and Jivvy up some further participation. Finding people up to the task is going to be the tricky bit!
Hi, Auntie! This 'ere be a formal invitation for you to come out and play This should be right up your street!
Coming soon to a short story thread near you - Doom Town, the finale!
I'm glad you're both ok. I do think of you every so often. And wonder what goes on over here. But for several reasons I just can't involve myself on Lit Net any more. I hope you stop by my blog (my personal one, not the Lit Net one) every once in a while. There might be something I've been reading you that you might be interested in. Anything you've written lately that you posted here? Send me the link and I'll read it. It was nice weather. Today the humidity came in. Urrgh. My best to you.
