This week has been a horror at work Aunty. I'm overwhelmed and I have a presentation to make on Monday. I did read your essay three times now, and made notes. I'll try to comment in pieces since there's a whole to comment on. I don't know if I'll get to all my comments this weekend, but once Monday has passed I'll let out a sigh of relief from work and can complete. I'm on my way to start.

Thanks Aunty. Let me print it out and read it and think it over. It's hard for me to read something that long on the computer. I'll respond tomorrow.

AuntShecky... I just read your entire essay. Marvelous. I cannot believe I missed it when you first posted some time back. I'd like to send you some in-depth comments but the site limitations make this absurdly difficult. My response to just part I of your essay would need to be broken into 5 posts due to size limitations. Do you have an e-mail I can post to? You can contact me at:

Also, I just left a comment there.

Thanks Aunty. I went and read through the whole thread. That is great he found your essay and commented. He seems like a nice guy. And he agrees with us.

By the way, in that thread I had mentioned a book on Eliot's life where his supposed anti semitism was discussed and dispelled. After you had been so kind to mail me a copy of the Pissaro essay, I went and xeroxed that chapter in the Eliot book and had intended to mail it to you. But then your husband had that health issue and I never did mail it to you. I should still have that copy somewhere. I think I even put it in an envelope. If I find it, would you still be interested?

No worries Auntie I liked it.
  7. You're very welcome, Auntie. As for the tribulations you subjected the Arthurian legend to, I'm sure Malory will never forgive you, but I expect TH White will - lol. I love the idea of Arthur breaking the sword as opposed to pulling it free. - Anyway, keep your chin up and keep your writing muscle exercised. Pip, pip - your pal Hawk.

Thanks, Auntie. Been reading a lot lately. Can you recommend any great short story collections? Let's make it harder... nothing earlier than 1930?

Auntie, what a nice surprise! I deeply appreciated it, you are very kind. I doubt "many" but it sure feels good
If you've seen my recent comment in the mud slinging thread, I mentioned Litnet Greats and in my mind you are one of them.
Hope you are well too, it's nice to see you around
