Hi friend, This is Prithvi. Do U know a term in ENGLISH, which has the following meaning "A thing which is used for something else, rather than using it for what it is meant for". If u r not clear, I would explain it in this way, with a example. A Coke tin is actually meant for packing the softdrink, but it can also be used as a penstand or a flower vase. Kindly help me in finding such a term.
Sir, I write to you to talk about that site that steals the work of our members to post it into their forums, and I honestly need to tell you this. I discovered, after surfing their site, that there are threads of many pages (meaning it would take one around 15-20min roughly to finish if he's really fast) being posted in their site in less than 1 minute! The same member opens 5 or 6 threads, with around 30-40sec between a thread and another. However, this is NOT only with the English threads--yes, many ARABIC threads are the same way; gives me the feeling that the site is actually stealing the work of many members from many different sites and forums. Some of those members' names are totally revealing their bad intentions... take this one for example: تحميل مقاطع الفيديو تحميل البلوتوث is a member (yes, those 5 words are actually ONE member's name) and it means "Downloading Video Clips and Bluetooth" in english. It doesn't cut out to be a member's name, don't you think? Same goes to that Personal Poetry guy that steals our lit netters' poems. Sir, I think the site is bad news, even though there are 'some' real people, it's filled with members like the one I've mentioned... I think we should contact their host quickly and get it shut down, because i doubt my method (complaining to their admins) would ever get anywhere. Please, tell me what you think.
I am compelled to say this regarding "Les Mis". I had no interest at all in this show. I am a regular reader on Lucianne.com, where I first got the link to Susan Boyle singing "I had a Dream" from this show on Britains Got Talent. An angel singing. I would go to see this show only because of her performance and would pay a premium if I could see her perform. What an impact she made!!!!!
The serious forum is set to use the standard design, not the old orange style. I can't see how it would be possible for you to see it as the old orange style.
Hi Admin, The new forum set up is a great improvement. However, I can't change The Serious Discussion section to the new colour format. When I try to change, it stays in the old orange style. I have tried closing the website down and coming back in again but it doesn't seem to work.
I simply wanted to thank you for creating such a wonderful site. You truly are a great man.
A friend of mine was given a box of old books in which there was one which I thought looked interesting but have no idea really. Crede Byron. The date is February Fifth MDCCCXXXVII, and dedicated to The Right Hon. Sir Robert Peel. Publisher John Murray, London, Albemarle Street. Printed by Spottiswoode, New-Street-Square. Can anyone tell me if this book is worth anything, of value to collectors or of no value whatsoever? Thank you.
Happy Birthday!
