I didn't know better is a kind of brave and you do know, you brave person you.

I miss writing poems. I've really struggled this year with writing anything at all. My new job is very literal and specific, I've been writing legal documents, and the shift from one to the other is phenomenal. Plus it's mentally exhausting, as you've probably found from all your experiences too. I'm a pretty poor poet at the moment. But I'm sure I can get it back. Feeling inspired by the rejuvinated atmosphere and really glad to see something from you. I've printed it off, I hope you don't mind, and will add my comments when I have some leisure time to read and enjoy it. Bit mad here at the moment, what with work and stuff going on with the kids. It's been a hectic couple of weeks

I haven't given myself the time to go through your blog and will send you a secret message if you want and tell you which of your precious gems glistens brightest for me, and why.
Met a poet here in New Zealand and love her work, I think she is originally from Bangladesh too. Let me know if you want to read some. Love the bouncy rhythm to the English in her poems.

It was a case of trying to preserve the reputation of the site as a friendly place where newcomers are welcome to post their work and get some unbiased feedback. Hopefully Aunty's slap on the wrist has worked.

perfection? why? lots of books, a can of beer? being relaxed? or all of these things. Enjoyed writing not-haiku with you this afternoon (for me, afternoon,for you not sure, maybe morning?)

wanted to comment on the poem of yours I liked the most today, but that would have meant forcing someone to read my poetry again far far too soon

Change does have a big affect on writing, doesn't it? I changed jobs in January and didn't write for months afterwards, but it's settling down now. I've moved on to stories, but will come back to poetry at some point I'm sure. Starting small sounds good. And you'll probably return to it more confidently when you're back in the swing of things again. You were always very talented; that doesn't just go away, though it may lie dormant for a while

How are you finding college? Is it Canada you moved to? I seem to remember something about that. You're very brave. I'm not sure I would have the courage to move abroad on my own.
