I posted the next section. You make a good point about the sudden transformation from peasent to soldier. I'll work in a better training period.

No worries! I'm hesitant to share my stuff too. Most of it is just typical bored not-all-that great time burner writing. The only person that would want to be a commercial author would be someone who wants to make a killing and never have to work again. Being a classic would be a hard medal to earn, but it would certainly be cool!

How is math paying the bills? As a recent math degree graduate, I want my slice of the pi. (I know, I'm groaning too.)

I read A softer world, Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal, Ctrl Alt Delete, xkcd, Penny Arcade, and Dresden Codak.

Half-baked and long stories are right up my alley! Besides- nothing goes better with fluff than fluff.

Absolutely! I would love to be your friend. I've read a few of your posts, and enjoyed them as well! I just read your story 'The Wrights Grandson,' and really liked it, too. I noticed you only have posted 2 short stories- do you have any more floating around on your computer? I would like to read them.

Gosh my to-read list gets longer everyday! To be honest I don't really have a favourite genre, I just read whatever Lately I've been reading the Deverry series by Katharine Kerr and books picked randomly from the 1001 books list.

Some good ones I have read lately:
The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, Anne Bronte - This was really good, but I still get so frustrated reading books from times when people couldn't just get a divorce. I also got frustrated by how good Helen is Surely nobody is that charitable in real life!?
Last of the Mohicans, James Fenmore Cooper - This was a brilliant read! A lot of people hate it, and I thought I would too after I had read the first couple of pages. If you have seen the movie, disregard it because the book is completely different. This one can fulfill your historical fiction
Rebecca, Daphne Du Maurier - Suspenseful but yet again I was frustrated with the main character as she can be very weak at times.

You've just sold me Harmony, here I come!

I don't really read a lot of sci-fi, I can't even think of any good ones that I have read apart from what I've already mentioned So I guess my favourite is Orson Scott Card It looks like you could be educating me on sci-fi. Actually I did read Day of the Triffids for school, but it was an effort. What other good books have you read?
