  2. Thanks for the welcome back Claes... I have just been extremely buried...

Hey there, and welcome back on board. Don't worry about the occasional timeout: I have them myself sometimes when work gets too demanding. Everything is fine here, but winter is approaching, and I am wondering when to put the studded tyres on the bike.

Now that you are back, maybe we will get to see more of your pictures?

    wow, now I'm really excited!!!!
My first three novels were actually screen type cast written, then converted to novel format.
Do you do screen cast writtings?

Great to see you around, how is the sea treating you?
  6. I danced ballet for 22 years... so it of course grabbed my heart. LOL "Steal an Avatar Weekend?" Hahahaha! You are quite funny. Perhaps it's time to thaw out though?

The ballerina.... is actually Janine's avatar: I nicked it as a part of the official LitNet annual Steal an Avatar Weekend.

As for my age.... I suppose you last longer when you are deep frozen half the year?

  8. Well, that is understandable. Most don't enjoy it. I actually don't care for ice, but white fluff, I love. Just give me the powder. It's so pretty... so still, so majestic. Have a great day!!!

No, I'm not very fond of snow and ice. I just endure it.

I can certainly believe the ice. We have lots of the stuff here right now. Rather too much of it for my liking to be honest (Not much of a viking, am I?).

As for the pictures, I have to say that you have real talent. A really keen eye.

PLESANTLY HAPPY!

by WriterAtTheSea on 03-27-2008 at 04:12 PM
I have been saturating myself in Virginia Woolf’s essays, and truly have come to love her gift of writing. She demonstrates such an amazing beauty of style and sensibility! There is no way one can read her writings and feel lethargic! She pulls the reader into her depth of thought, and the descriptive images Woolf uses are nothing short of addictive. Indeed, her language is the bait that lures this reader’s curious mind. There is no escaping the need to read on! It is like sitting at a smorgasbord

Cold Mountain

by WriterAtTheSea on 02-21-2008 at 04:11 AM
I am near the end of reading "Cold Mountain" for the first time, and find it fascinating. Just wanting to get some feedback from any of you fellow Lit freaks about it... do you like or dislike it, and why? What are the strengths or issues in the book, the storyline, syntax, etc...?

Thanks!!!

Opinions are welcomed! I am reading this for a senior seminar class...Never been too enthralled with modern lit, but this is not bad. Just looking for some feedback...

Thanks!
