Cool, actually AC posted too. I'll post more tomorrow. Got home late. jersea
Hey, You around to post on the Rousseau discussion group, No one is posting and I think people lost momentum. jersea
Ok, good - right on captain! Take a rest night and don't throw up anything....hahaha....
I am going to see my grand-daughter early evening tomorrow; so, I am not sure how much posting in the Chekhov I will accomplish. Maybe, I can post when I get home; but it may be late and I may be worn out; so if you want to move ahead, do so; I can catch up like I did before...no problem. One year olds tend to wear one out, but I love it...it will be great fun. I can't wait to see her again. She turned one on May 14th. If you have time, check out my blog entry; although, I have photos to add to those eventually, which I think may be better.
Thank you for the comments on Death in Venice! I have been reading your Chekhov discussions on and off. I also hang around at Barns&Noble on weekends. I think I visited all of them in town. The incidence at Barnes&Noble you mentioned in the discussion was funny. I have learned French for several years and I shouldn't neglect it as I do nowadays.
How do you know French so well?
Quark, no problem. We have a number of newbies to the thread, so it should come off well, even without you and possibly Virgil (?) - sorry guys, you won't be missed (just kidding)...haha...maybe this month's discussion will be for us girls only! haha...Virgil said he would try to show up, but now I see he stated he was still way behind on a novel from a few months back. May would be great to start another Chekhov story and maybe another short L one as well. Good luck with exam time!
Quark, me again. Now the group has decided we need to start the Lawrence thread discussion 2 weeks from today. I did announce the next story if you want to get a jump on your reading. Tell me what you think; I thought my page turned out rather artistic. Maybe your doppelganger will want to join the discussion, too.
Quark, how are things going? What happened to everyone in Richard II? Is there hope? I wish to start a new Lawrence short story this month; we have a few newcomers to the thread and I wish to announce it tonight so they don't quickly lose interest. Do you think you can join in sometime during the month, too? If not I fully understand. I am picking a short story this time, so it will not be too demanding. Hope you can stop by. edit: I forgot to mention; a few of the newcomers are interested in Chekhov short stories, as well. Maybe next month we can do one? I actually miss Chekhov now. I read his play "Ivanov"...I liked it very much and plan to read "The Cherry Orchard" and watch the film version soon.
Thanks, Quark. I now put it into my 'Subscribed Threads' under 'Quick Links'. Don't know why lately 'search' is not working for me....seems odd. I thought Virgil said that MissScarlett posted something under it, but I don't see any entries. I know what you mean. I watched the BBC play months ago too and now I don't recall the details. I never did complete my reading. I got side-tracked. I think I will watch the play this week.
