As a child i have experienced the untouchability. But for me it was not about fighting or retaliation. it was about making through each day alive and with a square meal a day.
The greatest happiness for our family was when we made it through to our 10th grade alive. Rights and duties of adulthood hit us like a ramming bus and tram. The vigor we had lost had to be gained through trail and error for the rest of our lives. No regrets there. Government jobs helped us get the square meals and livelihood. our lands were acquired for development purposes. Its been a long journey and we no longer have the bitterness we experienced when we used to fall face first in life much to the amusement of the city folks.
