Halls of the Dark Muse

Yesterday I happened to write this poem as a bit of fun horror (mostly just to amuse myself) about a Dentist who made a deal with a sort of evil Tooth Fairy like creature. The main inspiration being the idea was this group I belong to online called Themes of Horror which provides a list of themes for members to then use to create a work of art in any medium. I just happened to randomly pick Dentists as my next theme to use and one of my favorite modern horror films was this movie that I saw some years ago called Darkness Falls which was about this dark Tooth Fairy like sprit. So I drew from that as my inspiration for the poem.

So Anyway, today I happened to pop online and on my home page which gives different new updates when I sign online there was this headline that said Dentist Turned Man into Freak, so I could not help but to be curious and I opened it up to read and it was a story about this 21 year old Autistic man who went to the dentist and was supposed to have three teeth pulled but according to the story without the man's consent the dentist pulled out all of his teeth, and within the story it talked about other claims by different patients against the dentist, one woman said she went in to have two teeth pulled and the dentist removed the entire bottom row of her teeth.

I could not help but to find it a disturbingly amusing coincidence.
