Halls of the Dark Muse

The Old and the New

I have something of a new recently developed obsession of which I blame entirely upon Netflex. I had resisted using netflex for a long time as I had a rather pleasant and accommodating independent video rental store of which I was found of going. They always offered a wide variety of movies, including some things that I never would have even heard of if it were not from them, a healthy independent and forgotten collection, and off the wall strange little movies, and of course, I could always get the horrorfest collection of movies there when they came out on DVD, in addition they also sold used DVD's for a rather cheap price.

But alas they had finally come to go out of business and there were no decent alternatives, I shun the likes of Blockbuster and Hollywood video who always have such bland and predictable movie choices, thus invariably I was led to Netflex at last.

They are to say the least very convenient and easily searchable offering a plethora of off the beaten path type of movies and well also whenever you had a movie to your netflex list, a little window pops up offering other movies choices you might also enjoy.

And so it is through netflex's easily searchable database that I have become quite addicted to now having to watch any movies that happened to be made from any work of classical literature I have happened to read, or intend to read. Whenever I finish I book I have to than look up to see if there is a movie that has been made of it. I had just recently watched the first disc to a Jane Eyre miniseries, and when I was adding Disc 2 a variety of other suggestions had popped up and thus I also ended up adding Wuthering Heights, Sense and Sensibility, and it seems there was one other thing which escapes me now. In addition I also have on my list to watch The French Lieutenant's Woman, and Room With A View.

I am also a NetFlix addict and can blame it for many lost hours! You should check out the newest version of S&S-Scents and Sensibility.
