Anybody for a homemade gift?

My gift to you all...

As twilight falls into the darkness blue
we wrap ourselves in red and green
the hills adorned in folds of white
the portrait has painted its blessed scene.


The sweets are baked and cooling now
while children drift off to scenes of deer,
the milk half drank and sugar licked
an intruder came to spread some cheer.


The morning breaks a glorious dawn
the trek was made the tracks were set
upon the snow covered rooftops pure
away the thistle down was off like a jet.


The aftermath of the intrusion was done
the socks were stuffed with toys
the tree was trimmed adorned with gifts
to thrill the hearts of girls and boys.
