Ok, I have been working out the numbers for a few months now, and in 10 years time I should be able to quit my job and open my own little bookshop. I have wanted to do this for a while & now, unless life gets in the way, it looks like I should be able to do it. Kilted's books - opening April 2019.
cool! I'd love to open a secondhand bookshop.
Cool aid! Ok I am a bit wierd today, but that aside awesomeness, would you specialise in a certain area? would you have coffee and a cake place in ther as well with nice big deep armchairs a nooks and crannies, and places you can just sit and read? Oh oh oh would you hire me? I love convincing people to take books home with them and I have a photgraphic memory for books that are in stock and series orders and such! But seriously hope it works out!
That sounds wonderful!
That does sound wonderful. Best of luck. We all need some sort of guiding goal in life. Now that I mention it, what's mine?
That sounds awsome! Will litnetters get a discount?
good thinking Papaya! maybe thats where the litnet badges and code should come in.
Awesome! I hope it all works out for you
That really does sound like a great idea! I hope it all works out for you! I bet it would be fun to run your own bookshop. Good luck with it!
Whenever someone opens a food store of some sort, the expression thrown at them around here is, don't eat the profits." Kilt, don't read the profits.
I think that is a wonderful plan to work towards, Kilted. There are never enough bookstores for one to get through in life. Be sure to have cozy chairs in there, that adds to the 'plus' side of a good bookstore!
My grandplan 5 years ago: quite the office job before the age of 30 and start making a living from writing... That would be 2 years and few months from now
