My Obcession

I have read countless books before and in my time of reading, there has been more then one occasion when I cam across a character that has struck my fancy that I had developed something of a crush on, if you will for lack of a better word.
But never has a character gotten so under my skin as Don Lark. Don Lark is a character within a book I am currently reading called Homebody it is a horror story about an old house and Don Lark goes around buying old houses and then renovating them for sale.
There is something about him that I just absolutely love. I love reading the book becasue in a way it is getting to spend more time with him. Though I am not entirely sure just why he has gotten in my blood so bad.
In part I think it is becasue he does remind me of my own dearly beloved in many ways. And well in many ways Don Lark is just my type, which is why he is so much like my beloved. He has a ruggedness about him. A hard working man who uses his hands in labor, but he is also gentle in nature and his of noble heart.
He is reclusive in his nature and values his time alone, and does have a certain touch of mystery around him. He also comes with baggage, and I have to admit I have something of a history of getting involved in men that come with baggage, which is perhaps not always a good thing at times.
There is something easy about him, and yet he seems like the sort that knows when and how to get angry when the time calls for it. Which I also like. I do not like just a complete push over.
He is also a drifter living out of his truck moving from work site to work site, and my own beloved lived like something of a gypsy life style.
