Blown up?

Rate this Entry
What would you guys say if I told you that we were nearly blown up?

Well, we weren't (But it got your attention though).
I'll start from the beginning.
Just before I went to bed I discovered a strange smell in the hallway and on the landing. It smelt like metal. I told mum (Who was already asleep, this was at 2 in the morning). She dragged herself out of bed to come and investigate. We found that it wasn't in any of the other rooms, just the hallway and the landing. Unable to find the source we went to bed.
Today I hardly did anything again (My last day of freedom). I had a shower, washed my hair and all so I'd be nice and presentable for school tomorrow . I came down and played GTA3. After I got bored and turned it off, I became aware of a metallic smell again. Mum couldn't smell it so I thought I must have been imagining things. I felt like a snake, so I went into the kitchen to get something to eat (The last apple pie and vanilla ice cream Delicious ). I noticed that the corner of the kitchen where the washing machine is looked a little smokey, though I couldn't be sure (For all I knew it could've been a smear on my glasses) so I called mum. She came to see, recognized it as smoke and turned the washing machine off. So we now know the source of that smell. We didn't recognize it as the washing machine because it normally has a smell like a soldering iron when the load in it is too much and the smell normally stays in the kitchen. So the washing machine's broken. It was bound to happen at some time. Luckily all of my school stuff is clean and ready, though it might have been fun if some of it wasn't. I could have gone into school tomorrow in my jeans (Because they'd be the only clean pair of trousers I had (Which wouldn't be strictly true because I have a few laying around my room somewhere )). It'd be fun because jeans aren't allowed in school .
My embroidery’s coming along, you can make out Eeyore's head, minus half an ear (It's a Winnie the Pooh scene from Tesco ).
Well, I suppose I need to log off now, have to be up before gone 1 in the afternoon tomorrow. School starts at 10:30, so we "can have one last lay in before school starts" A quote from my principal. Not my kind of lay in.

Bluebiird out.
