Chemical Influence

“The short-term physiological effects of cocaine include constricted blood vessels, dilated pupils, and increased temperature, heart rate, and blood pressure. Large amounts (several hundred milligrams or more) intensify the user's high but may also lead to bizarre, erratic, and violent behavior. These users may experience tremors, vertigo, muscle twitches, paranoia, or, with repeated doses, a toxic reaction closely resembling amphetamine poisoning. Some users of cocaine report feelings of restlessness, irritability, and anxiety. In rare instances, sudden death can occur on the first use of cocaine or sometime thereafter. Cocaine-related deaths are often a result of cardiac arrest or seizures followed by respiratory arrest.

Long-term effects of cocaine use include addiction, irritability and mood disturbances, restlessness, paranoia, and auditory hallucinations.

Binge cocaine use, during which the drug is taken repeatedly and at increasingly higher doses, leads to a state of increasing irritability, restlessness, and paranoia. This may result in a full-blown paranoid psychosis in which the individual loses touch with reality and experiences auditory hallucinations.”

My mind was wandering a little, when it occurred to me that since 1993 the U.S.A. may have been run by Cocaine users. There have been allegations of cocaine use by some of the presidents in that period and admission of cocaine use by others, but my thoughts were based on personality traits. Cocaine users usually are somewhat delusional, display an excess of self-confidence, have little empathy, and generally act like psychopaths or people with antisocial personality disorder. In retrospect it seems impossible, but it appears that for the last twenty-five years the U.S.A. has been run by cocaine addicts. It is incomprehensible that the American electorate was so twisted that that they liked selfish psychopathic people, as people tend to become under the influence of cocaine, or maybe they were so gullible that they believed the marketing that the campaigns did. Considering other absurdities that have been sold to Americans in great quantities, it would not be surprising that the campaigns sold the candidates in spite of their personality defects.
The first in this string of cocaine users was the governor of a state that had a notable drug, especially cocaine, airport in the state, while the future president was governor. In addition, it was widely rumored in Little Rock that Bill Clinton was involved with cocaine both trafficking and use. But his personal style often seemed to be chemically enhanced. Fortunately, Clinton didn't get much done while president, so the strange effects of cocaine didn't enter official business.

The second of the cocaine enhanced presidents was somewhat inclined toward violence, and after the horror of the destruction of the World Trade Center by terrorists he lashed out by going to war against two countries that had nothing to do with the terrorism. He did nothing to end terrorism, but he caused many people to die for no reason, and he became the world's laughing stock. And he destroyed the balance of power in the Middle East. And all that based on cocaine delusions and over-confidence, and he even admitted being a user of cocaine.

The next president admitted using pot and coke in his youth, but there is no sign that he quit. He was as delusional egotistical as any coke fiend, but he tried to put a good face on it. He made several efforts to subvert the U.S. Constitution, but the courts shot him down every time.

The fourth in that string of coke fiends had the big headedness and delusional thinking in spades, and he claimed to have never used coke, but he lied about everything, so his lie was an admission of guilt. He was further gone into egotistical delusions than the others, and he was sure that he was really smart, but, as some have pointed out, he is a conman, and he was accustomed to conning someone once and moving on, but as president he didn't have the freedom of moving on to another mark. He has to deal with the same Congress, courts, and international leaders time and time again, and most of them can't be fooled many times.

The switch to cocaine fiends in the Oval Office wouldn't be as much of a shock, is the office hadn't been filled with drinkers since the start of the federal republic. Drinkers might be silly and delusional while they are drunk, but they sober up, and most of them have had tolerances that kept them from getting ploughed.

And alcohol has been used since ancient times in the course of government decision making. The ancient Aryans had councils where they discussed an issue while drinking, and the next day they would discuss it while sober before they mad the decision. The alcohol would make it easier for them to consider alternatives, but for coke fiends there are no alternatives.

When we get back to having drunks, pot smokers, or even abstainers in the White House life should settle down to something saner, and out allies will be our friends and allies again. Let's hope that the next president drinks as much as Washington, Adams, Jefferson, and Madison did.

Bold? Come on now, Just because you have mostly half decent politicians doesn' mean that it is bold if someone points out the oddities of some of the politicians in he U.S.A. That Trudeau kid probably smokes pot, and he may do something else.

Fortunately, public people of that sort can't win a suit about comments like this, unless they can can prove hat I knew I was wriing falsehoods.

Ha ha ha! 'that Trudeau kid' … We call him "Mr.Selfie" … as there is always postings of him and someone or other in a 'Selfie'...

I was surprised that he got in, given how politically raw he was … his dad was legendary back in the day...

But that comment slayed me. Hope Trump doesn't pick up on that tag...
