Why are some introduction to books so long!? It drives me crazy sometimes. I know I can just skip the introduction but I'm not that kind of person. I can't skip it.

I think it's my OCD.

It's actually not as bad as some others that I've heard of.

Let me see here...

I like even numbers...So if I'm in a car and the volume is on an odd number I have to change it to even.

Umm...Being on the right-hand side.

And I cannot skip reading an introduction to a book.

Oh! Paradise Lost! Why is your introduction so long?!

lol, I feel that way sometimes. Actually, I won't read them unless they're interesting. I got some Jane Austen novels a couple of years ago, and really passed most of a summer afternoon quite pleasantly deciding which copy I would buy based on the introduction.

Maybe try reading it in smaller chunks.

Ahh...I see. Good idea, Quimi! True, introductions can vary depending on who's writing it...I should do that too. Search for some interesting book with an interesting introduction. Oh! How my heart beats at this very moment!

I skip introductions unless it's written by someone I like. I forget the book I read, but it had an intro from Stephen King. That was a good one
