Halls of the Dark Muse

I hold the long time belief that my T.V. is very likely possessed because it has a history or random and strange behavior.

This is going to sound crazy and impossible, and I have no explanation for it, but I swear this happened. On Sunday's I always like to watch the Food Network, I have developed a strange addiction to cooking shows which in itself cannot be quite explained, but anyway for as long as I have ever known it, the Food Network has always been on channel 34.

Well maybe about a month or so ago one Sunday I go to watch the Food Network and I know I put in channel 34 it was a completely different station, and I was like what the hell? Thinking maybe I put in the wrong number so I did it again and I made sure I put on the right channel because I was looking at the remote when I hit the 3 and the 4 and it said it was 34 on the TV but it was cardinally not the Food Network.

At this point I began to trip out wondering what was going on and began to think did the Food Network get taken off the air or something? Did I somehow forget what channel it was on?

So just for the heck of it I put on channel 35 and the Food Network was there and my mind was totally baffled by that, wondering how could I have thought it was on 34 if it was on 35.

Well the next time I go to watch I put on 35 and it is a completely different station, and guess what? The Food Network was once again on channel 34.

Now today, there is nothing on Saturday's so I was just randomly flipping through the channels to find anything I might be able to put on, because I am one of those people who like background noise when I am messing around on the computer in the evening, and I happen to come across the Syfy channel. Of which my T.V. never used to get before and nothing has changed. I haven't got a new T.V. our cable provider has not been changed, I don't have a new box, haven't bought any new packaged deals or anything for stations. Everything is the same as it always had been, just I know randomly have the Syfy channel for no explainable reason.

Now I am just worried that the next time I try to put the Syfy channel on the TV it will be gone again.
