A Lonely Traveller

A Mirage

Hungry vultures hover and circle over a boundless wilderness;
a traveler
lies alone on his belly.

No more story,
only vines of bleeding hearts grow wild
all over his body.

    You have done it again! A haunting story in a few words. The theme is also different than your other poems. The line "No more story" speaks volume. A fine little poem!

    Thanks, AG, for the nice feedback.

    Is it a haunting story?

    BTW, I've been working on the flood mentioned by one who speaks the truth!

    Well, I think it is a horrible spectacle which you describe but the words don't create a gruesome effect. The words 'left unspoken' convey the whole scene. It seemed really haunting to me.

    I'll keep on scribbling!

    By the way, did you really the piece "Flood, Mother Nature's Mercey?" If it is not good, then I'll rewrite it!

    Wish you well
