Thanks!!! Now I have something to do tonight with the kids out of town
There's a really good discussion on J.D. Salinger's short story, "A Perfect Day For A Banana Fish" here: http://www.online-literature.com/for...ad.php?t=54812. And if you don't have the story, there's a link there to read it on line. Maybe you can join in.
Thanks for that Meg. I can't wait. And try not to let the fury eat you up. It isn't healthy and it gets nothing accomplished. Try your best.
Home is a nightmare. I'm hurt and angry, and at this point I can't seem to see past that... I don't know what more to say. Some people get hurt, and they just get sad, I just get fury that matches how badly I'm hurt. I can't wait for you to bring your son home. It will be such an adjustment, but chidren are so worth it I can't even begin to explain. So many choices that I've made. I'm 26 with a 7 year old son and a 3 year old daughter. The math doesn't lie. I was very young, only 19 when I had my first child, and with all the other paths I could have taken... This is the one that was right. Nothing would make me trade them and what I give to them and they to me. When Matthew comes homeit will easily become the hardest and most rewarding time in your life. Nothing beats out the love that you have for your children, and it is worth evey hard day or nightmarish project to come home and know they're taken care of and happy. Much Love, Meg
No word on Matthew. No, I turned down that position. I'll have to blog about it. And I'm really really swamped at work. I just got home and I'm exhausted. Thanks for asking. I hope things are working out for you at work and home especially. I haven't seen your blog yet. I'll go look in a minute.
Any word on when you are able to return and pick up Matthew? Also, how is work treating you now that you're back? Still working in the new position?
Thank you. We're nervous as hell.
Good luck to the two of you tomorrow! You'll do great. Much love, Meg
I have a new blog on the adoption if you're interested. Nice pictures too. http://www.online-literature.com/for...og.php?b=10608
