yeah BCS is really difficult to learn... I am living in Bosnia right now and have applied to schools on the east coast... While I love Seattle, I am a nomad, and I get bored of places quickly... so I like to move around and experience new people and cities.
Good luck with your applications for Grad School! Keeping my fingers crossed! Would you like to stay in Seattle, or have you applied to any place else in the States? I'm learning B-C-S because I'll be going on a university field trip to Croatia this summer to see some of the Roman remains there (I study Ancient History). I have an idea of maybe continuing to do research in the area, and thought at least some basics in the local language might come in handy . However, I think B-C-S is a very difficult language to learn.. all these cases and consonant changes... and especially the words without a proper vowel!! I'm still practising on "krv", "smrt", "crn" and the like .
Yeah, surprisingly there are quite a few people from the Balkans on this forum... well I went to university in Seattle, and graduated in June. Now I am actually back in Bosnia, working, and waiting to hear back from grad schools. Hopefully I will get in somewhere and be back in the states by August/September... I see you are learning some B-C-S. Any particular reason why? I always find it intriguing when people decide to learn my native tongue, since it isn't common
Hey there , jep, I certainly love cookies . So many people speaking Croatian around here, who would have thought! But I see you're from Seattle, why so far from home? And the answer would have to be: jesam!
ha, your nickname also caught my eye... the "keks" part of course (cookies anyone?) now the question remains: koji je najbolji keks?
