Haha, Well, I just put about 2 cups of litter in the box and everytime he goes, I throw it in a garbadge bag and take it outside. He makes alittle pyramid and sometimes gets frustrated that he can't build it to the heavens with that amount of litter. Sometimes, when I hear him scratching, I just come and say "Okay, enough, I've got it" and he looks frustrated. I do wonder how they manage to make such a mess with it though. Before I started throwing it in the garbadge bags, I tried everything to dispose of it. I thought maybe it would break down in compost; but litter does not break down. Then I tried play sand; but he got everything in the house sandy; the top of my desk was like the beach.
Haha! "Piss and Moan" what a great name! Lily's box is situated where it wouldn't bother our sleep, but it is a nusiance when I'm trying to watch my "King of the Hill" re runs. She takes a good five minutes to bury her deposit. The incessant scratching of the litter drives me nuts, plus she ends up shoveling half of it over the side!
I picked this up from a cat page on facebook; my cat is Piss and Moan, he is a black and white maine coon cat. He also is quite fond of trying to get into too small boxes. He was trying to fit into a 12pack soda box today and convinced that if he could just fit his whiskers....it didn't work. Why do cats always use their litter box at 4am and want breakfast at 5am; or is your cat more understanding of your need to sleep.
