  1. Thanks seasider, I've read the sales blurb but wanted to hear from a real user. I shall probably get one after Christmas. It should ease pressure on the shelving and the eyes.
  2. I love mine. I bought it in February when it was being sold solely by Amazon's American branch. And it cost more than the bog standard one now being offered by Amazon UK. You say your eyed are weak. There is a button to magnify the font. No I don't miss handling real books because I still buy them and read them. It's incredibly simple to use. Once you have registered it and it sends a booklet to tell you how all you need do is go to Menu, go to Kindle Store, choose what you want to read and download it. Many books are in the public domain and cost nothing You can read a sample before buying and also read reviews before buying. I am delighted I got one and am very happy with it. I have downloaded more than 120 books since I got it. It is easy to use. Be brave!
  3. Hi seasider,

This is a bit presumptious (sorry, I hate being presumptious.)
Please tell me about your Kindle, or what you think of it. I am in a dither whether to get one or not. I have alot still to read and my eyes grow weak. How do you find it ? Do you miss handling real books? Can a techno-idiot like me use one? I would really appreciate anything you can tell me.
