Yep, winter here! I'm really missing the summer. Well, in the east states it's been snowing, but here on the west winter is mostly clear blue skies with a really cold wind. Although it did rain a bit tonight!!

Happy New Year Sprinks. I had my students write agbout happiness. It went well, I think. Early in December I had them write about their favorite Christmas memory. After they wrote their journal entry (basically a rough draft) I had them revise and edit and shape their papers into a personal narrative. It went very well. The saddest story-one of my students lost his father in Hurricane Katrina. May your new year be filled with song and story and laughter.
