  4. I didnt know that. And I dont speak french... But hey, I dont speak latin or urdu or serbian or norwegian either, but have listened to, and then tried singing, songs in those languages. The key thing for me is to like the song. So I'll try to learn to sing this somehow, but it'll probably take me a while seeing what a tough time it is now for me.
  5. Oh, I'm so glad you found and like it! How is your French? Would you like me to send you a translation - or you can google it. I LOVE to sing this song and the lines
""Si tu vois mon pays, mon pays malheureux,
Va, dire a mes amis que je me souviens d'eux."

just break mu heart. But then, maybe because I'm a Jew, I'm a sucker for any song about yearning. Did you know that Israel's national anthem, Hatikvah (The Hope) which speaks of the yearning to return to one's homeland existed long before the establishment of the state of Israel!

I am listening to this version, and so far, it sounds timeless. Thanks Prince, this sounds just perfect for my ears right now.
  7. Ugh. I hate tv.
I do hope you enjoy though.
The songs I upload in youtube aren't really videos, in the sense that I usually just put up a picture of a favorite corner in my campus, or in some songs you can make out my silhouette (or half so!) in a picture taken near Lake Huron. These two pictures are there essentially because youtube dont let you upload audio. Videos are somewhat distracting for me when I really just want to listen to the music.
  8. As it happens, earlier this evening I did listen to a couple of your Youtube presentations, the Iron & Wine one & the Norwegian one. I did regret not seeing you in the video.

After a perplexing day with "The Memory Artists" by Montreal writer Jeffrey Moore, I'm going to see if there's anything worth watching on TV or will creep into bed early.
  9. Just thought I'll share a song that, to me, feels beautiful (although you should listen to the original song by Iron and Wine, to appreciate that beauty)...

  10. Thanks.
