Well, I was working as an onsite help desk tech, and the company had an opening for remote deskside. So I applied, and to my suprise I was actually accepted! It was alot of fun to start with...travelling to remote project sites to assist with technical problems (anything from bad hardware to assisting in new setups and takedowns). I got to check out a few places in the USA, including California (that was sweet times ). I even had the opportunity to travel to Europe (Russia, that actually sucked, we were in a remote island compound...very lame, Bergen Op Zoom, that was alot of fun!, and Warsaw!) Africa (South Africa, Johannesburg) While traveling I actually became pretty homesick, especially when I was in Kazakhistan. After Kazakhistan I was supposed to go to Iraq, but, I had pretty much had it, I requested a leave for home, resigned, and moved back home. It was a cool experience, but I'm pretty happy living in Edmonton again.
Glad to have you home. Now, tell me (and all of us) all about your travels...
I'm doing quite well! I've been touring around, and out of touch with the relaxing qualities of the internet. It's great to be home!
