Conversation Between Varenne Rodin and Gilliatt Gurgle

  1. Ahhh, polymer clay. I was not familiar with that, although I am familiar with PVC piping. I just completed a drive by research through Wikipedia. One advantage I suppose, is no need for a kiln.
Oh, and thanks for your comments you left.
  2. Also, your watercolors and sketches are lovely. You have excellent sensibilities.
  3. Hi Gilliatt,

My mermaid is baked polymer clay over a multi-gauged steel wire skeleton. I used acrylics and paper glaze to create her eyes. Her fin is polymer, wire, fantasy film, and beads. Her hair is Japanese kanekalon.

Thank you for looking! I enjoy talking about it,

    Varenne
  4. Varenne Rodin,

I was checking up on my profile page and noticed you stopped by, so I wanted to repay the visit and say hello.
I took a look through your albums. Regarding the sculpture, what medium is that? Is it a fired clay, porcelain or plasticine type material?
    Keep the creative juices flowing.

    Gilliatt
