I'll check out Empress Orchid next time I'm at the bookstore, overall I did like Mdm. Mao.
I wanted to tell you that I read Empress Orchid by Anchee Min and it was better than Mdm. Mao. I actually really enjoyed it and I think that her writing improved in this one.
not really a storm, but it has rained for the past three days. it's been a soft rain. I have 4 1/2 inches in my rain guage so far. It looks like Ike is a monster!
We barely got any rain!!! An hour east of us received a lot of rain and had some flooding but the heavy stuff missed us. It looks like the storm is travel through your neck of the wood?
