  1. I posted some pictures in my blog: http://www.online-literature.com/forums/blog.php?b=9046. I think I prefer to post them here than on the main boards. Check it out if you don't mind.
  2. Check out my latest blog. You might find it amusing. http://www.online-literature.com/forums/blog.php?b=8995
  3. If you go to Andave's latest blog she tells of our meeting up last week: http://www.online-literature.com/forums/blog.php?b=8486. You might be interested.
  4. Funny story in my blog. Think you might get a kick out of it. http://www.online-literature.com/forums/blog.php?b=8365.
  5. Yeah, I know you can't decide for me. I think reading more plays is the only solution. And I can't see plays performed. They dont do that here in Egypt And yes, we can read a play together. Perhaps you could recommend something by Eugene O'Neil. I've never read anything by him, and he's your favorite, so it should be fun. We can either read it alongside Persuasion and Atonement, or we can read it after we finish them...or whenever you want, I'll be on vacation so I have lots of time on my hand..lol
It just gets confusing, cuz so far I think I like all three literary genres...lol
I have a novel exam tomorrow...wish me luck!!
  6. I can't decide for you Nossa, LOL. Let's get you to read some more plays and see. I can always help you with poetry. As to plays, you should see them performed. That's where the thrill really is. I'm sure you can be good at either. It's a question of what you like. Maybe we should read a play together too. Any one in mind?
  7. Yeah, drama isn't my forte either. I don't know, I think I'm still not sure where to go with my major..lol...what do you think? I mean I know it's a bit early, but I like to plan ahead. Just to make sure that I know enough about whatever I'm getting into. The problem as I told you is that I always thought it's gonna be novel, so I read/have lots of those. Drama, except for Shakespeare and Wilde, was never really a sort of interest to me. But after this year's course (we studied All My Sons, A Streetcar Named Desire, A Doll's House and The Room), Im having second thoughts. One of my professors likes my poetry and she wanst me to pick poetry as my major...lol
Anyways, sure we can start by the end of the month, I'm already finishing my exams on June 13th. I'll read something else for the rest of the month, then it's Atonement and Persuasion
  8. Great, Atonement and Persuasion. Let's read them at the same time. Can we start at the end of June? I'm reading something else right now and I promised another book as well. Drama is not my forte, but I'll get you a list of modern American dramatists and their important plays. My favorite is actually Eugene O'Neil, but Tennesee Williams is really great too.
  9. DOn't worry about the poem, read it whenever you have the time
Atonement it is then I read it when it first came out, but that was on the computer, cuz I couldn't find it in stores here, so I really don't count it as a read(I can never concentrate)...lol. I did buy it though last year, so I'll start right on it as soon as I finish exams
I never got around finishing Persuasion, something always got in the way, so I'd love to read it too. If you'd like, we can read them both at the same time. I'm actually getting good at that...lol...I can actually read upto 4 books at the same time!! lol
I'll check that Italo Calvino book in stores here. I have a book by him btw, but it's a non-fiction, it's a series of lectures he was supposed to give in Harvard, but died before finishing them. His wife published them. The book is called 'Six Memos for the Next Millennium'. I did find one of his novels here last year, it was called Invisible cities, but it was way too expensive...lol
I'd love to know more modern American dramatists though. I know a lot about novels, but not so much about drama. I'm thinking that I should get to know different plays by different dramatists before I actually register for my MAs (I have a year of preliminary studies before I start on my MA thesis).
I hope you enjoy the poem
  10. How about Atonement by Iam McEwan. I've been meaning to read that. I got your poem and have not looked at it yet. Probably tomorrow if you don't mind.
