That's very sweet of you, Max. Well, I like Robert Pattinson, the star of Twilight. Robbie Williams, the singer. Jude Law in his younger days. Johnnie Depp...that's all I can think of at the moment. I think the avatar collection would be great. We have found that alot of the pictures I like are too large.
It's true, people who really make a real sacrifice don't have much public attention like pop stars or sportsmen for example, living their frivolous empty lives and what not. Now it seems normal to see how a meaningless way of life can become the source of popularity. On another note, I may create something like an avatar gallery for the taking, where I may include some Beowulf-related images I have a few avatar collections in my computer. If you want you can tell me who your favorite stars are, and I'll see if I can find a picture
Beautifully said, Max. I have seen many people make great sacrifices for love; perhaps just as profound as giving up ones immortality. They remain unheralded and unknown. I haven't found an avatar I really like that represents me...I've been thinking about a south park figure, or maybe an actor or singer I like. I really loved your Beowulf avatar, too.
And you haven't picked one avatar for yourself yet any idea of what you may like? My choice was Arwen, a character from The Lord of the Rings. She gave up her immortality to marry a mortal man, something people are often incapable of in real life, don't you think? I mean, such a big sacrifice only for the sake of love. Novelists, poets and story tellers in general often show us what we are incapable of, in very subtle ways.
