  1. The Inutility of Higher Education

by , 04-02-2022 at 11:20 AM (Memories of the 28th Century)
I am not completely against higher education, but it has little or no value for most people, and it may even have negative value in some cases. This is not something that was on my mind, but it came to mind while was thinking about recent adventures in the medical industry. I have plenty of respect for any of the people in the medical industry, but I think that they waste a lot of time in classrooms, when it comes down to what may be useful in the business. It isnít just that one of the physicians ...

  2. At Last We Meet

by , 03-27-2022 at 06:21 PM (Barmy Blue's Bland Blog)
We have covid. It's been about a week.
I noticed my Mum was a bit stuffy on Thursday. Getting a cold over the weekend. We went to the vet to get Yuki's teeth looked at. It looks like the gum is exploding slowly. It started as a little hole and kept going. Many of the medical practitioners that I have met, I like, and some of them I would call friends. Unfortunately, trying to communicate with them in regard to medical matters ...
  4. Just Chillin'...

Just chillin'... time for some hot cocoa and a fudge brownie!!

Another memorial/funeral service yesterday for a dear friend; was invited to give a 5 minute talk where I shared 2-poems I thought might be appropriate:

    God's Garden

(Unsure who the author is and I added 4-more lines of my own at the end)

    God looked around His garden
    And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth,
    And saw your

  5. Ghost from the past?

It's been a long time since I've posted anything on here. So much has happened that i think if i were to tell it all, i would never be able to stop typing.

I come back here sometimes; mostly when I read a good book (which is rare these days) and want to discuss it. I come looking for a place that I remember. But that feeling of nostalgia stops me from posting anything; i instantly realize that the familiar place is no longer The Place for me... So I leave without a word, feeling...
