I knew her before
I saw her
my eyes were closed
I talked to her
my heart was shut

I met her again
when no eyes were needed

I shook hands with her spirit
I talked with her mind
looked into her heart
and opened mine

I had known her for years
and I saw her for the first time
I saw her, and she stole my heart
and in return she gave me happiness

I no longer feel empty

less different more unique
and so were we
our lives soared on the swings
and in the sand we played
building castles that would too soon fall
but if they did we didn't care
we were happy
