Righteousness and Truthful Speech are Vital for Spiritual Reforms.

Peace be on you.....Two major components of spiritual reformation, as I believe, are:
1- To practice righteousness (Taqwa) as taught by God and Messenger.
2- Right, straight forward, appropriate talk with wisdom.

“O Ye who believe! Exercise Taqwa of Allah, and say the right word. He will reform your conduct for you and forgive your sins. And whoso obeys Allah and His Messenger shall surely attain a mighty success.” (Holy Quran, Surah Al Ahzab, Chapter 33, verses 71-72)

Truthfulness in all matters of life is required for righteousness. Speech should be clear of vagueness. A little falsehood eventually leads to great lies and person goes away from God or rejected by God. It is not necessary to disclose secrets of others. Truth is useful when applied properly with wisdom.

In the light of Holy Quran, Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) has laid stress on true speech. Once he told a follower to always speak true to get full reformation. Latter, the person reported that he was able defeat all evil.

God helps those who adopt righteousness. Righteousness and truth together attract love and mercy of God and His strength against evil and bring blessing of God. Righteousness is reminded when sermon for marriage is delivered. It reminds new life has to begin with righteousness.

The Ahmadiyya Reformer Promised Messiah Mahdi said:
God makes a distinction between those who fear Him and abide by His commandments and the others. The secret for man to find blessing is in avoiding evil. Such a person is worthy wherever he lives because he exudes piety. He is compassionate to the underprivileged, is kind to his neighbours; is not mischievous, does not file false court cases, does not give false testimonies, in fact he keeps his heart purified and is inclined to God and is called God’s friend.
