by , 04-06-2022 at 12:10 PM (Memories of the 28th Century)
I have noticed that advertisers seem to have no respect for the intelligence and knowledge of people of retirement age and older. And I canít forget that woman with the creaky voice who tells us that she has fallen and canít get up.

There must be people who buy such things, but they probably were taken in by fraudulent advertising when they were younger also, so they probably ...

  3. The Inutility of Higher Education

by , 04-02-2022 at 11:20 AM (Memories of the 28th Century)

It started as a little hole and kept going. We know her teeth are rotten but surgery is a huge risk so really we've been waiting for the point that the vet says that's it this MUST be done and we've mentioned it over the phone as it's progressed but this is the first time she's been ...

  5. Medical Communications

by , 03-11-2022 at 08:57 PM (Memories of the 28th Century)
For the last few years, I have had more contact with the medical professionals than in earlier years, and I have learned some interesting things about those people. For one thing, they are are a varied bunch. They all went through medical school and so on, but they are humans and show the kind of variation that all humans do. Many of the medical practitioners that I have met, I like, and some of them I would call friends. Unfortunately, trying to communicate with them in regard to medical matters ...
