  1. Loss of Reason

I was thinking about the decrease of rational thinking that has been apparent in public discourse in America in recent years. Thinking about the time period and other things that were going one made me wonder if there was a relationship between decreased logic in public discourse and the deinstitutionalization of the mentally ill. Did the fact that the mentally ill no longer were kept away from the general population suggest that irrationality was acceptable? I am hesitant about writing this, because ...
  2. Rationale for State Socialism

For years, various people have been trying to persuade the American people to adopt socialism, but there have always been problems, until recently, when we have seen exactly how government succeeds in the distribution of goods. Specifically, I mean the distribution of vaccine against Cov-SARS 2, AKA the Covid 19 vaccine.

To ensure fairness and efficiency in the distribution, the federal government took it upon itself to oversee the distribution and delegated the states to handle ...

I just looked it up. It's a thing. Turns out I was lucky to keep any of my tomatoes last year. I'm not so sure about growing veg this year now. They have to be out front for the sun. The back is a bit too shady. Ironically we got new, bigger pots for the lavender. This leads me to believe that last years planters haven't yet been stolen because they're full of dirt? I guess I need to worry about all of it. I was so proud of my tomatoes last year. I did worry that someone might ...

  5. Edicts versus Laws

    Edicts versus Laws

Article II of the U.S. Constitution specifies that the president “faithfully carry out the acts of Congress", and it also mentions that the president carries out foreign policy and is commander in chief of the military, but the constitution does not give the president the power to make law on his own. Regardless of what powers the president has, as of Feb. 2021, there have been 14,014 executive orders made, according to the Federal Register. https://www.federalregister.gov/pres...ecutive-orders ...
