At the present time, we in the Prairies, are experiencing a bitter cold front that renders temperatures floating between -28 Celcius to -45 Celcius.... Yuppers. Bitter indeed.


But the silence in that kind of cold is unbelievable ... it truly is deafening when you go outside to that chill. I joke that I can hear a neighbor a mile away open their front door... but that is not far from the truth...

If you dress for this kind of cold, it doesn't bother you much ...

So I figured out why I always get depressed on Christmas Day without fail.

It’s not just because me and my dad don’t get on. It’s not that he’s a bad person though. Don’t go thinking that. It’s just because we don’t interact with each other more than a couple of times a year so he doesn’t know how to deal with me (because I am a sensitive creature).

The table’s cleared at least. That’s not normally finished until just before dinner. So that’s a win.
Really really need to hoover but it’s midnight and the hoover’s very loud. Don’t think the neighbours will be happy with that.

I’ve picked up a knitting project that I’m not sure if I can do in time.
