  1. Day 22

by , 12-23-2017 at 03:02 AM (Barmy Blue's Bland Blog)
A bit too late again but never mind.
    A snowman.

Iíve picked up a knitting project that Iím not sure if I can do in time.
Back when the first new arrivals came into the family, some years ago now, I started knitting a teddy bear onesie for the baby boy. Heís not a baby any more and is far too old for it now, but baby Simon should be just the right age. I just have to sew it together.
Either about the same time or just a little after I started it mum decided to ...
  2. Day 21

by , 12-21-2017 at 08:56 PM (Barmy Blue's Bland Blog)
    Merry Winter Solstice.
    Today was a present.
On the subject of presents Iíve finished wrapping mumís presents but I still have a ton of decorating to do.
I saw some birds in the garden today. As Iíve been sleeping in again theyíve been quiet when Iím up. Today I saw something smaller than a great tit. Maybe a little smaller than a blue tit. It was a coal tit. Then I saw its partner. Then I saw both of the blue tits too along with a wood pigeon. I saw two rather round looking ...

We mainly use it to note down items we need to get since weíre usually in the kitchen when we realise we want more of an item) about 5 ...

by , 12-20-2017 at 09:20 PM (Memories of the 28th Century)
I recently commented using the old saw "Time is Money", and the person I was speaking to disagreed. While the two are not identical, they have equivalency; one can be converted to the other as a general matter.

"The phrase was coined by Benjamin Franklin in his Advice to a Young Tradesman (1748): Remember that time is money. He that idly loses five shillings' worth of time loses five shillings, and might as prudently throw five shillings into the sea." ...
  5. Day 19

by , 12-20-2017 at 01:24 AM (Barmy Blue's Bland Blog)
    An angel.

Iím getting later and later doing this. I donít do it during the day in case I donít feel like writing up the last missed thing which was my little cousinís birthday. Itís a bit long and Iím still feeling drained from yesterday. So I wait and see what happens in the day so I can write about that if need be.

Iíve been a bit annoyed with myself. I did things yesterday but not today and I only got up an hour later but I went to bed about the same time, maybe ...
