Nice little verse. I couldn't connect the last line to the first three.
another name for Lord Shiva.
I like the poem Nik, but um. . .I don't know who Mahadeva is. Enlighten me?
I've been working on reading the Doors of Perception. I haven't read Brave New World though, though it's on my list. One of the absolute best books I've read was by Alan Watts, the Joyous Cosmology, it was sort of a follow-up from The Doors of Perception, taking the experiences further. It's online too.
I read Brave New World a long long time ago, but not The Doors of Perception. It's on my list of things I really need to read.
Awesome, thanks, Shalot. I just did a couple of searches here and there and it looks like there are hundreds of books about Peyote in spiritual cultures. Not that I was planning to read any of them but I'll read yours. Have you read Huxley's work?
Breaking Open the Head: A Psychedelic Journey into the Heart of Modern Shamanism is an interesting read. Well, I enjoyed it anyway. The author visits Africa, Mexico and other places to participate in various rituals so that he can gain spiritual insight. It was interesting to me because the author is American and comes from the spiritual wasteland that Western Culture seems to be sometimes.
glad you liked it It's my favourite poem of Hafiz, and probably of any.
lovely poem, amigo.
Oh, that's not true... this is another song of theirs I remember from so long ago.
ah.. oh dear. I am making such a liar out of myself, this is another one.
haha Juniper... yeah it is a little bit... surprising. I know that those people sometimes exist and do that kind of thing. Very rarely I guess but I've heard of it a few different times. I thought it was pretty cool though.
I know about those too Dark, I just found them the other day... This one I thought was cool because of the story behind it. Thx for commenting.
You should check out Armor Games, they have all sorts of games like that, and many more, and it is all free.
Well, that was creepy...
Also, the puzzles were hard.
...I liked it a lot.
I'm glad you read it and enjoye it Virgil, thank you for your praise.
Hope all is well
Your poems are actually prayers Nik. This was enjoyable.
Nik, I must apologize for that quip. When I said it, I was thinking Dizzydoll was only gone for a few days or so. I just hadn't seen her around. As I think I now understand, she is gone for good. I had no knolwdge of that when I joked. I have no idea why she left, if she has. She seemed like a fun person.
It's a very sweet tribute, Nik.
She left. Before.
Nik, ever since you created that dedication thread Dizzydoll has disappeared.
