Haha, I like it Adereo. I hope I'm considered a gentleman. I won't become extinct until the good Lord calls me. Although I must confess I can be rude.

I agree, Adorero...lately I've learned so much about God...and that divine or spiritual love can and does exist between humans...unfortunately for me right now, the one I share it with is impossibly far away... but what you said about God is so true...spirituality exists, so fortunately for us, and you are right that most people do not choose to inquire into their nature, and whether they are truly happy or not. Anyway I think you're very fortunate to know this! Keep it up and keep the faith...

Virgil is right. It's complicated and, most of the time, worth it. We all have to take the bad in order to enjoy the good.

Let me just say Adoreo that love and life is complcated.

I think it's very great that you have such faith!!! Recently I've been graced so much, with so much love, and I know it is the most unintelligent thing to deny God, I believe he's the creator and source. An infinite God, who loves us because he is infinite love. And a personal God as well, I believe in, like Christianity...keep it up! I think everyone should love God. There are very beautiful verses in the Upanishads about the Lord of Love. They've taught me so much. As for people not understanding why you believe in an invisible God, there is no convincing them with arguments, the only thing you can do is treat them with humble love. I say your faith is a good thing and I advise you to keep strengthening it, because I have complete faith that God exists, that he loves us, and that our future is very, very bright. Peace, Alex

I have learned that to learn one must explore, ask questions, and doubt. Many people who know me say I have great faith and ask me how I can believe in a God who you cannot see, my answer may confuse them.
That was interesting. I think you are a fascinating person. Now those that don't believe in God would have us believe that this was all an accident. Well, the odds that this is all an accident are astronomical. And to think that life would just start accidentily and then develop perfectly to what we are today without a guiding hand lacks credibility for me. Just think of all the complexity of our biological systems working together. One would have to win the lottery at least ten times for those odds to occur. Now I don't know exactly what God is like, and perhaps we have misunderstood Him and not realized that there may be constraints on Him too, but I do think that God exists and is in our lives.

How about general thoughts on life? I'm curious to see how and what you think. Perhaps you can take a situation that comes across in a day, something a little unusual, and describe it and give your thoughts on it.

Your posts can be about anything. I usually read blog posts in order to learn and understand myself as well as others I’m interested about. So posts can be about poetry, what occupies your mind on a daily basis, your opinions about an array of topics, etc. Don’t sweat it. Just because people are not replying doesn’t mean your posts are not being read.

I use the alien smiley one when I'm confused...and that happens ALOT. or slightly shocked.

Yeah, smilies are awesome. Shalot -- I use the alien thing when I want to illustrate 'weird' or 'odd' or those kind of thoughts... As for the ice cube guy -- that is me trying to go to sleep when it is winter here, ha ha!

when you figure out what the is for, let me know. I asked a similar question out in the threads once and I don't think anyone answered.

And the other one I was wondering about was that shivering ice cube. Stupid thing.

I must say smitten is a good word but according to the definition it is as strong as love which still seems a little to much since we haven't even dated yet or gotten to know each other in any other way then just friends.

as for infatuated no offense but that is a horrible word.
    1. to inspire or possess with a foolish or unreasoning passion, as of love.
    2. to affect with folly; make foolish or fatuous.
    blegh- not a good description

Great poem! I think I'll add a Kizzo word to the stew: SMITTEN (?)
